Apparently, arithmetic isn’t math anymore. At least it isn’t if you ask the Democratic candidate to fill John Kerry’s senate seat, Rep. Ed Markey.
In a debate with his Republican opponent, Gabriel Gomez, Markey said Gomez was making things too complicated by talking about budgetary math, when it’s clearly arithmetic. “It’s really not math, it’s just arithmetic,” Markey said. “It’s very simple arithmetic. It’s not as complicated as math.”
Instead of going to the Senate, maybe Markey should try going to third grade?
