RIP Jonathan Winters
by

Heaven is a funnier place today. One of the world’s truly funny guys has gone on. Jonathan Winters, who died Thursday at 87, could take audiences to the edge of madness, where, it turns out, he had been himself. “One of a kind” is an overworked expression. But no one else is or has ever been even remotely like Winters, though for a bit Robin Williams tried to be Jonathan Jr.

Thanks for the laughs, JW. We’ll miss you, and all those hilarious characters you created. God be with you.
