A Washington Post/ABC News
poll found that public support for health care legislation
rose only slightly in response to President Obama's much-hyped
health care speech last week. The poll found that 46 percent
supported legislation and 48 opposed, compared with 45 percent
support and 50 percent opposition in the last poll, taken mid
August. Interestingly, the poll also found that 41 percent said
the more they hear about the health care proposal, the more they
like it, compared to 54 percent who say that the more they hear
about it, the less they like it.
If anything, I think these numbers overstate support for Obama's
health care initiative. The reason is that right now people are
responding in a broad sense to what they think health care
legislation is. For instance, some respondents may support
legislation only because they don't think it will include a
government plan, while others may be supportive because they
think the final bill will include a government-run plan.
Ultimately, Congress and the White House will have to start
making actual decisions about what parts of legislation to keep
and dump, and how to finance it. As that process drags on, I
would bet that we'll start to see support drop.
Obama and gibbs keep saying that they won't cover illegal aliens
in their bill, or they won't cover abortions in their bill. when
challenged from HR 3200, they keep on saying 'their bill' won't
have it.
Of course, the only problem, their bill is not in writing, so
we'll have to trust what they say they will do. And then, they
will say 'we have to pass it right away before everybody reads
the fine print'!
They mislead and lie in everything they do. What they intend to
control from this legislation must be unbelievably powerful for
them to try to pull the wool over everyone's eyes.
The good thing.. the American people are on to them..and we
aren't going away.
Great job on 9-12!
It is time for our re-education camps (letters, emails, town
halls etc.) for current politicians or they are out in the next
elections!

It is important to digest these numbers within the context that
they are derived. The truth is that ABC/WaPo polls always give
about an 8 to 10 point French kiss to the Democrat in any
culturally significant poll. (Sample group, not end numbers,
though the consistant 4-8 point love pat that results in the 8-10
cushion in the sample group is evident.)
So the reality is that these numbers are probably lower by 4 to 8
percent. (Even if we split the diff and call it 6, it is a big
piece of political cake to swallow.)
So in reality 52% of the people (consistent with Rasmussen's
polls) think that the Dems are all wet.
People wanted access to insurance, better insurance choices, tax
relief for medical expenses, choice in what to have covered and
what not to have covered. They did not want bankrupt and
floundering Medicare for everybody... except maybe AARP who
stands to rake in huge amounts of money with Medigap insurance
plans to cover the tons of things that Medicare won't touch.
Which is part of the entire rub. The people backing this move to
Socialized medicine are those who stand to rake in huge personal
profits over its adminstration and supplementation.
Now up to 52% of the American public has or is beginning to see
that what the Democrats have in store is not reform but
take-over. Moreover, what we will get for that is our pocket
books drained in huge tax increases, poor care, and a dwindling
pool of medical professionals to perform the services.
Of course the Fee for Service Resort Clinics for the Wealthy will
be booming in Mexico and the Carribean.
The rich will fly to Bimini for that colonoscopy, and spend a few
days on the beach recovering from the whole ordeal. Meanwhile Joe
Average will wait six months for a clinic visit to wonder if they
cleaned the 20 year old mess that looks more like a drain snake
than a medical instrument. (doubt that? Just ask all of those
poor VA hospital patients treated in similar fashion to
unsterilized instruments...)
Keep it coming. Blanke the US with Gadsden Flags. Don't let The
One, tread on you.
Supposedly, Obama and his socialist Congress are working on "the
details". Translation: they are calculating what they can get
away with, how much they can do to destroy free enterprise in the
medical world, without being defeated in the next election. They
will eventually vote on something which is a thousand pages long,
and there will be a rush to vote before the public has a chance
to comprehend it, or object. More socialism will be shoved down
our throats. We and our grandchildren will pay the consequences
of our representatives' deceit, demagoguery, and gross
incompetence.
