. . . to a Democrat who worked tirelessly to advance the progressive cause of social justice. On this day, every patriotic American should mourn the death of a liberal activist who diligently labored to continue the Kennedy family's noble legacy of public service.

Until the day she died in 1969.

McCain --

You are a fatuous, contemptible and utterly worthless creep. What a sham.

Craig| 8.26.09 @ 2:54PM

"Liberal Reader," and what would you use to describe the actions of one who would drive a woman into a pond and then run away and allow her to drown while he slept off his alcoholic binge? Would "fatuous, contemptible and utterly worthless creep" be accetable, or would stronger words apply?

Rolfe| 8.26.09 @ 2:58PM

Only a worthless creep would defend the immoral actions of another worthless creep. Shame on you, LibReader/Jeremiah!

I repeat:

Lib Reader exhibits megalomaniacal traits such as feeling genuine satisfaction from perceived persecution by bloggers here, feeling especially elevated in power and status if any author responds to him personally.

While ordinary individuals go about their lives trying to improve their lot for themselves or their loved ones, this delusional manic individual trolls this site under a variety of monikers in an effort to bring significance to his lonely and bleak existence. Even libs with the same viewpoints want nothing to do with this guy.

My $.02, I had a paranoid schizophrenic individual threaten my family because she blamed her own failures on our success. She could not help herself, just like liberal reader will never help himself by leaving this site.

Now back to the topic. Any ordinary citizen would have went to prison for the drunken manslaughter of another individual. Unfortunately, our elected elite literally get away with murder. Kennedy should have done the manly thing and admitted to his mistake. His lack of apology labels him as the coward that he was.

DAC| 8.26.09 @ 3:16PM

Just wondering, LR and other leftist apologists for murderers, mass and otherwise: what are the specific "progressive" bona fides that justify murder or (in the esteemed, rotting Ed Kennedy's case) vehicular manslaughter and criminal negligence? Is there a sliding scale you can share with us? E.g., X number of pro-abortion and pro-statist votes equals authorization to murder Y number of innocent people in service of the progressive cause? Instead of blabbering your normal fact- and argument-less insults, enlighten us, please.

cmujelly| 8.26.09 @ 3:32PM

Aw. C'mon. Can't we just let that be water under the bridge?

Troll Hunter| 8.26.09 @ 3:49PM

Water under which bridge, exactly? Chappaquiddick's?

Alan Brooks| 8.26.09 @ 4:44PM

it IS literally incredible that Teddy boy, of all people, is considered a hero. Even Jacko made sense as a hero; I mean, if Roman Polanski can do a fourteen year old then why couldn't Jacko play the Pajama Game (it is called "grooming") with thirteen year olds?

Let's be more LIBERTARIAN.

Craig| 8.26.09 @ 5:00PM

Trotters, are you sure that Jimmy will succumb before KKK Byrd? I have been betting that both Byrd & Kennedy had met their Maker several months ago. These fossils were likely kept on ice just so they could be wheeled in for the healthcare "vote." We all know that it doesn't matter a bit to the libs whether a voter is alive or dead - as long as they "vote" properly. Now that healthcare is on the rocks, it was OK to remove Teddy from the freezer to try to get that sympathy bounce to push this legislation over the finish line.

Warrior| 8.26.09 @ 5:06PM

Hey liberal reader the expired Senator Kennedy used water torture to a greater degree than any CIA operative in the war on terror.

Richard Baker| 8.26.09 @ 9:30PM

Glad he's gone. Now young women riding in cars in Massachusetts are safe. Now he can explain to God why he let her die. Good luck with that.

You can always count on Robert Stacey McCain to regurgitate the most tired, pedestrian, conventional opinions. He is the sort of person who thinks Morton Downey Jr. was a serious political thinker, and probably still has a "Real Men Don't Eat Quiche" bumper-sticker.

What an uninteresting, sophomoric bore.

redfish| 8.27.09 @ 1:39PM

I followed your link and comments from RIGHTWINGNEWS to find that you could not take the same highroad that Hawkins took on his site.

Mary Jo was killed by Kennedy and he did get away with it because of his name and location of the murder. At least wait until he is in the ground to start cursing him. Give his family the time to grieve.

Facts be told in the whole Mary Jo story, it has been long rumored that her family accepted a significant payout from the Kennedy's (and probably other favors) to keep quiet about the whole matter after the court case was completed. One could say Mary Jo's family is thus culpable in Senator Ted Kennedy continuing his political career.

It is tough to take the moral highroad when you are mirroring the liberal leftwingers and their typical type of comments. You certainly do not represent most conservatives with your comments and hate speech. It is rather small minded.

Mary Jo!???

Pfffft!

50 million murdered while "Ted" cheered on and patted himself on the back for his "enlightened view" and his "defense" of the helpless.

What a hero!

Nobama| 8.27.09 @ 10:16PM

redfish clown blames Mary Jo's family for Teddy Kennedy getting off scot free. Nice. Could you be any more of a Kennedy whore, bozo?
