The Obama Watch

The Observer at His Own Funeral

Obama’s obtuse, faux-pensive press conference.

At his post-defeat press conference, Barack Obama worked hard to project an air of somber reflection, even as his remarks revealed that he had learned nothing from the defeat.

Amidst the practiced pauses and detached narration of the crash came a litany of excuses, evasions, and arrogant denials. He more or less cast himself as the victim of a “bad economy,” as if two years of sending anti-business signals to employers had nothing to do with the high jobless rate. He made sure to note that other presidents had gotten similarly clocked after two years. And he essentially blamed the American people for a lack of perception and patience.

But since he couldn’t say that directly, he had to couch his self-justification in the form of patronizing blather about how he could have “accomplished” more, made better “progress,” and “communicated” more effectively with the American people. He tried to make some sort of phony distinction between his “policy decisions” and his “policy outcomes,” implying that the people objected to the latter but not to the former. Never mind that the exit polls demonstrated that they repudiated both.

Obama couldn’t bring himself to admit the obvious, that his liberalism leaves the American people unafraid of alternatives, so instead we got the usual self-serving nonsense about how the American people like the content of liberalism but just resist it in times of distress when Democrats fall down at salesmanship and implementation. In one answer, he even had the audacity to suggest that the American people were too dumb to realize that his bailout-style socialism was only temporary and not a permanent policy. Where could they have possibly gotten that idea?

Obama was in effect saying at the press conference what Joe Biden said on the campaign trail (that liberalism is hard “to explain,” but somehow wonderful to behold over time in its results) and what Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid said after the passage of the health care bill (that a patient people will learn to love all the goodies contained within it if they just wait a decade or so).

Obama received praise after the press conference for his “pensive” demeanor, but what’s stunning about him is his utter lack of reflection. He either has no capacity for critical thinking or what little he once possessed has dissipated in ideological reliance upon mindless cliché and sophistry. In any case, it is scary. At the end of the day, he is nothing more than a shallow pol with little interest in or knowledge of governing. He backed into the White House through effortless luck (he ran against one of the worst Republican presidential candidates ever), and apparently assumed that running the White House would be just as easy.

His shallowness also makes him obtuse, even from a rawly political and self-interested standpoint. He suffered one of the worst defeats in decades because of his environmental, socialist, and Brave New World dilettantism, yet spent much of the press conference talking about “electric cars,” gays in the military, and 26-year-olds who, thanks to his largesse, will get to stay on the health care plans of their “parents.”

Obama’s metaphorical “car in the ditch” is apparently an electric car which, if it ever gets out, will drive America into a glorious future by picking up 26-year-olds and depositing them at job interviews for work made possible through the “Stimulus” package.

Obama admitted that he lives in a “bubble,” but that too was the fault of others. He presented himself as the passive victim of his own presidency. Near the end of the press conference, he allowed himself a particularly absurd and maudlin moment, complaining that because of the presidency’s inherently insular character no one can see the depth of his concern for the people. He said that “no one is filming him reading those letters” from them which leave him so anguished and inspired. Perhaps he needs his own reality show.

Booger | 11.4.10 @ 6:10AM

From the desk of Greatest Ex-President Ever Jimmy Carter:

Dear President Obama,

Well, this is a fine mess those Republicans cooked up for you the other night, now isn't it? Look, don't worry. You can beat this thing. You just have to know what to do and how to do it. You need advice from somebody who's been there. You need the Greatest Ex-President on your team, and I'm here to help.

You know what the problem with this country really is? I'll give you a hint: It's not you. You have done all the right things. I know you know it in your heart. This recession is Bush's fault. Make sure you don't forget it, and make sure nobody else forgets it. They'll want to hang it around your neck. Well don't let 'em do it. You've done more than anyone could ask or expect. So what if inflation starts to get a little high? Believe me, I know all about high inflation rates. It's not that big of a deal. People learn to adjust.

This whole thing about unemployment? Hey, no big deal. It'll come around sooner or later. Just keep pumping the money into the federal spending programs, and sooner or later the jobs are bound to come down the pike. Look, I've been there, I know what I'm talking about. If you let the Republicans get all over you about spending you'll never get anything done. Just ignore them and do what needs to be done to save the country.

Look, I know all about problems in the Middle East too. Problems with Iran? No big deal. If worse comes to worse you can send a couple of commando squads in to sort things out. Those guys are so good you don't even have to worry about having back up for them or an exit strategy. Just send 'em in and watch the fireworks. Israel? Look, everybody is sick of them, not just you. Freeze 'em out. It's not like they've got anybody else to go to anyway. Look, I've been here, I've seen this. Take it from me, Iran is no big deal. Don't worry about it.

The Russians are headed back to Afghanistan? No kidding? Hey, guess what, I've handled that too! Just shut off any wheat sales to them and skip the Olympics. Believe me, it'll be problem solved in no time. There is no need to stress about any of this, you have it totally under control.

Seriously, inflation, unemployment, budget deficits, Iran, Russia, Afghanistan, none of these are a real problem. I've handled all of these just fine in the past. Basically you can ignore them and they'll take care of themselves. Just whatever you do, don't let the Republican try to make you responsible for any of it. That's all they ever want to do, make some Democratic President they don't like responsible for other people's problems. My advice? Just ignore them and they'll go away. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about here.

Really, there are only two problems you need to worry about. The first one is malaise. This country is suffering from a terrible case of malaise right now. What can you do about it? Make the people see that their pain is their own fault. Make them understand that their malaise comes from having too high of expectations for what their lives ought to be. Make them realize that if they can just learn to lower their expectations for themselves, their children, their grand-children and their nation then with acceptance comes peace. Make them accept lowered expectations for themselves and this country and the malaise will vanish in no time. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about.

The second problem? Killer rabbits. They're out there. Lurking. Waiting. Nobody can stop 'em. Not the Secret Service, FBI, CIA, NSA or any of 'em. They just don't understand. They don't even really seem to believe. Killer rabbits are out there, and they're looking for fine Democratic Presidents like you and me. Watch out for 'em. Big, vicious, swamp-rabbits with beady red eyes and giant, gnashing teeth. I keep seeing 'em coming for me. Sometimes the pills help me make it through the night. Sometimes they don't.

At any rate, look on the bright side. At least you don't have a freak of a brother running around embarrassing you with his very own brand of "Buddy Beer". Nothing like a freak brother to really give you ulcers. Although didn't I hear something about some guy in Kenya marrying a teenage girl? Oh well, can't win 'em all. Just do your best, accept fate and watch out for malaise and killer rabbits. The rest will take care of itself.

Your Friend and Supporter,

Greatest Ex-President Ever Jimmy Carter

There's never a killer rabbit around when you need one.

Dixie Pixie| 11.4.10 @ 11:22AM

As luck would have it in the comic strip”Prickly City” there is a character called “Kevin”
Kevin is the lost bunny of the Apocalypse.
The maniacal rabbit from hell was running for Senate on the Doom and Havoc ticket.
He won.

Senator Elect Kevin the Apocalypse Bunny will soon sit on the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs.
Rabbits are notorious for having lots of relatives.
Senator Elect Kevin is no exception.

Someone should tell Ex-President Carter the comic Killer Rabbits of the Apocalypse are coming for him.
They want the Peanuts Jimmy!!!!

Ed Moran| 11.4.10 @ 7:45AM

Booger does it again! Well-done as always. Get your own column. Ask the Greatest Ex to sponsor you by promoting his brand of Hare-remover.

Who the hell is booger?

TennesseeVolunteer| 11.4.10 @ 7:52AM

Booger for President!

Pecos Pet| 11.4.10 @ 8:14AM

Booger, checked your blogspot ... are all of these letters your originals?

Booger| 11.4.10 @ 8:26AM

They take control of my body and make me type it. I am not responsible. It is the spirit of Aqua Buddha that possesses me.

But yeah, other than that their mine.

Cordially,

Booger

Lowell| 11.4.10 @ 8:32AM

Thanks, Booger for my ROFL of the morning. You really should get a permanent blog.

Barbara| 11.6.10 @ 7:36AM

Booger, I agree to the blog. You are getting quite a following. Love your satire. Perhaps you can get Olbermann's job since he has been taken off the air. Bet their ratings would come up from the cellar.

Alice Moore| 11.4.10 @ 8:40AM

I love reading your letters everyday. Have you contacted Regenry to publish these?

You seem to perfectly channel Screwtape.

Deborah D | 11.4.10 @ 9:02AM

Bless you, Booger/Buddha. You are truly amazing. I laughed out loud at the Killer Rabbit deal. OMG! For you to even remember half of what you put in these things is amazing in and of itself. It's kind of a warped history lesson reading your comments. Bravo!!

Booger| 11.4.10 @ 4:11PM

Booger Buddha? Ooooooh, I think I like that one. The killer rabbit episode is still out there on film somewhere. Why can't I find it on Youtube?

John II| 11.4.10 @ 1:14PM

Slight correction to an otherwise perfect post, Booger: It was "Billy Beer." I know. I still have a can of it in the cupboard over the stove.

Looks a little frowzy, but I figure I can find a collector to pay big bucks for it, if the need arises during my retirement--which may very well happen if the Obamanation even half-succeeds in its project of reducing America to a third-world backwater.

Alan Brooks| 11.4.10 @ 9:18PM

"And he essentially blamed the American people for a lack of perception and patience."

America is, though, similar to ancient Rome. It goes beyond perception, patience. America is far too violent and crime-ridden to progress in any wayb except for commerce. Our schools will always be substandard, our culture will always be pigslop.
So if that's what you mean, then you are correct-- Obama is in that sense obtuse

Chris Killingsworth| 11.7.10 @ 7:37PM

'far too violent and crime-ridden'
Please back up that ridiculous claim with facts, comparisons, and sound reasoning.

MikeD| 11.5.10 @ 2:38PM

Booger... You've outdone yourself on this one. I'd forgotten how the President of the United States of America was terrified of a vicious, horrible, blood-thirsty, fanged, red-eyed, murderous bunny. How perfect. It's right up/down there with Kerry's wind surfing and Obama's throwing like a girl. Check the difference between 'W' throwing the first ball in the Series and Obama prancing around displaying his 'sensitivity' for all his 'nancing' friends to see! Keep it up!

But, one word of advice: You're REALLY GOOD! BUT...DROP THE PEN NAME. It doesn't really elevate you.

Barbara| 11.6.10 @ 7:41AM

I agree, it you are better than the name implies.

Cincinnatius| 11.5.10 @ 9:18PM

Great job Booger! I would like to add that perhaps Obama might like to consult with Aimee Carter on critical issues of national security. If she was good enough for the World's Greatest Ex-President, she should be good enough for Obozo!

Bob Bauer| 11.8.10 @ 7:07AM

He is nuts and still making problems for his Country

CB| 11.4.10 @ 6:19AM

He would be hard pressed to do a reality show. After the first episode, audiences would quickly flip the channel, realizing that this couldn't possibly be legit...nobody could be this stupid.

Appleby| 11.4.10 @ 6:42AM

This is a man stuck on the treadmill of 1968 and who has not learned yet that the definition of insanity is repeating the same action and expecting a different result. People like Obama try to use lottery tickets as collateral.

I am reminded of an exchange between two guards on an old episode of Doctor Who:

Guard 1: He isnt as stupid as he looks.

Guard 2: NOBODY could be as stupid as HE looks!

Thorvald| 11.4.10 @ 10:07AM

If it were to be a reality show, it would have to be presented in a split-screen format: one side for the guy who lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. and who vouchsafes stimulus, one side for the guy who hung out a lot with Frank Marshall Davis and who then went to Pakistan in 1981.

Tim*| 11.4.10 @ 6:20AM

The Good News !
The Tea Party Rebellion is now Inside Congress & Inside The GOP.

Carpe Diem.

Publius| 11.4.10 @ 6:37AM

He didn't back into the white house due to a bad Republican candidate (I'd like to hear your suggestion on who could have won in the environment of "hope & change"), but due to several factors: (1) a fawning media that was never going to report any of the troubling details about him - lack of background, lack of experience or relevant work, association with anti-Americans like Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright; (2) a Democrat party in which race trumps even sex - in which HRC never had a chance; and (3) the total hash that W, Karl Rove, and the GOP Congress had made in domestic policy (amplified by the media over Katrina and the war in Iraq). He's had a free ride his entire life, including winning the Senate based on the media opening George Ryan's divorce records, which would never have happened for a Dem, and then only facing that idiot Allan Keyes.

Shamus| 11.4.10 @ 7:12AM

If you look at the polling in the 2008 race, for most of the time Obama had a lead, but toward the end it closed to only 2 points, which was well within the margin of error on the polling. This was the moment that McCain chose to announce that he was "suspending his campaign" to return to Washington and work on the stimulus bill. The public thought McCain was dropping out of the campaign, and rewarded him with a ten point deficit in the polls. If McCain hadn't been such an idiot he might actually have won. As it was, Obama only beat him by 3 points in the popular vote. There's no doubt, McCain was a really bad candidate.

Spartanfan| 11.4.10 @ 8:10AM

McCain ran around like a chicken with his head cut off... Most of America knew at that moment that he would be unable to handle any national emergency...

Thorvald| 11.4.10 @ 10:09AM

Who's giving odds on whether the McCain Campaign (oxymoronic?) was deeply and pervasively infiltrated by Commies?

reformist55| 11.5.10 @ 4:31PM

Agree totally THORVALD! McCain was a shill for Obama and I will never believe otherwise!

bookworm| 11.4.10 @ 10:55PM

WHY did McCain throw the election? He must have; he didn't even need the late Lee Atwater to show him how to win it. Jeremiah Wright was his Willie Horton issue. All he had to do was run ads reminding the people over and over. Why didn't he bring it up that the Communist Party didn't even field a candidate, but endorsed Obama? Why didn't Palin call out Biden during the debate for stating, "When the stock market crashed in 1929, FDR went on television. ..."? That election was so winnable. The whole thing is fishy.

Sandy| 11.4.10 @ 8:35AM

It was Jack Ryan. He would have won. Also the Chicsgo Tribune was involved in the suit.

Sandy| 11.4.10 @ 8:36AM

Chicago = Chicsgo. Haha

Stephanie| 11.4.10 @ 6:44AM

When the hell does he read those letters that leave him so anguished? He's never in the oval office working, governing. Oh, I guess he and Moochelle cuddle up at night and read them together. Eeeekkk, what a sight. Anyone on here a head shrinker? What is the diagnosis on this man?

Mike D.| 11.4.10 @ 6:56AM

Believe me, he's been flipping through his Marxist Alinsky bible trying to find the chapter on "what do I do now". He will never acknowledge failure, responsibility, or anything approaching that. Total self-absorbed narcissistic Marxist idealogue . This clown will never deviate from his "long march" mentality and date with a freefall off the same precipice his comrades just flung themselves off of. He's a blessing in disguise because he's what it took to finally wake this country up. He's the walking, talking, preening gift that keeps on giving. I think the people finally see what this diabolical lunatic and his party really look like when all the rocks are turned over and the light of the sun shines on them for all to see. Thank you "Che" for your illustrated life like course on Marxism 101, we all graduated with flying colors. Oh, one last thing exalted one......check the chapter about "counter revolutions"..........

WRTolkas| 11.4.10 @ 8:10AM

Dear Mike D.
You are superbly correct.

MikeD| 11.5.10 @ 2:47PM

Is it my imagination or is that gleam in his eyes just the light shinning through his ears?

Paul Davis| 11.4.10 @ 7:13AM

I only hope history will do this guy justice and report the truth, not give us some glossy portrait in the misguided belief that the American people do not want a president to be shown in a negative light. There is nothing positive about this jerk.

Brian Mc| 11.4.10 @ 8:45AM

The chance of this happening; the whitewashing of the alien's term in office will dissolve once he is led away in cuffs. The sheople, slumbering while waiting for their government checks, stayed home and true Americans made Tuesday happen.

Appleby| 11.5.10 @ 7:00AM

You cant use the word Whitewashing; that is racist.

New Gingrich claimed that Obama hit the right tone, but was it the right key?

The funniest part, beyond humorous, was the part where Obama stated that he felt sad for those Democrats who lost their seats, and wasn't sure if he could have done anything to change the outcome. You've got to admit that's funny.

First, I doubt if he really cared. Second, they died because they followed him over a cliff. Lastly, it shows how stupid the Democrats who lost were for not seeing the inevitable outcome of their poor choices.

During the rare news conference Obama appeared sullen, almost contrite. Without his teleprompter he's a man adrift with few ideas.

If he had actually read any letters from the public he would have bought them to the news conference and read them to the American public claiming "This is why I would do it again. The public is suffering!" However, I suspect that he reads a few letter or has someone read them. If all he is doing is reading letters we know why not much is happening. Obama is simply looking for the fan mail.

I suspect Obama plays video games in the White House when he's not blowing 100 million on a two day trip to India. In fact the trip to India is just another waste of money the media is doing a poor job of covering.

In essence, the reason Obama doesn't have many news conferences is he's actually a poor communicator, not able to think on his feet.

If there was any moment for him to make his case he backed away from his case, which makes it appear none of the issues he believes in are important unless he can get his way easily.

Obama appears ever the man child, with little backbone and character, but plenty explanations as to why the dog ate his homework.

Anthony| 11.4.10 @ 10:05AM

Brother Newt is all about repositioning himself for 2012. He's back to being the voice of moderation and bipartisanship. The new R congress would do well to avoid Newt, because Newt is ready to pull a Bob Dole and Trent Lott and lay down with Obozo and Reid and talk of cooperation and finding common ground, on the terms of Obozo and the Ds, of course.
If Newt and the R establishment didn't figure it out for themselves, let me tell them as plainly as possible; Obozo's presser was a shining demonstration of just how radical, condescending, and out of touch this empty suit is. He was not pensive and reflective, that would require an actual process of honest review of all that Obozo is. No, it was all a show for the "corrupt bastards" in the MSM to reposition Obozo.
Obozo is a hard core America hating radical ideologue who knew he was shoving his agenda down the throats of Americans as fast as he could. That was the plan all along, with Pelosi and Reid fast tracting all of these 2,000 page abominations.
This b.s. about how difficult liberalism is to explain is a backhanded swipe at Americans for not being as radical as this bastard is. He still holds America and Americans in contempt, as do the rest of the elites. Just look at how Matthews & Co. handled the Bachmann interview on election night.
The Rs has best be ready for the "hand to hand combat" Obozo promised. The MSM will finally go over the edge. If we don't stand on principle now, we never will.
This is going to get even more ugly.

JAWilson| 11.4.10 @ 7:20AM

It has crossed my mind that Obama is so flawed that what might be the outcome when he is finally booted out. Revenge?
Surely, American Presidents must necessarily have access to quite a few secrets that are out of the public domain such as military projects, etc. Writing from Britain, despite our fawning media, (excepting the Telegraph) to me his actions and rhetoric appears to present an unpatriotic, closet Muslim and unpredictable loose cannon.
How can he be trusted...............ever?!

What a bogus ass. He has the nerve to blame all of his failures on us, well shake down a preacher and see what you get, hell to pay. I am quite certain he's not what even he claims to be, if it were not for all of the adoring fans, grease-it axlerod, jihad jarrett, tax-cheat gietner, blah, blah, blah, he would be nothing more than a sinner, think lawyer with little regard for the actual truth not the made up kind, or even a college professor, think lecturer claiming to be a professor. Not to beat a dead-horse that I already discussed at length last week, but it bears repeating:

ANYTHING Obama says or does MUST be viewed through the prism of his Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

When we remember this simple fact, the nonsense he spews actually makes sense from a psychological POV.

For example...Factor 1 in the Hare Psychopathy Checklist covers "Aggressive Narcissism", which includes the following traits:

1. Glibness/superficial charm
2. Grandiose sense of self-worth
3. Pathological lying
4. Cunning/manipulative
5. Lack of remorse or guilt
6. Callous/lack of empathy
7. Failure to accept responsibility for own actions

Does that sound like our man Barry, or not???

If that doesn't convince, try this:

Campbell and Foster (Psychologists) argue that narcissists possess the following "basic ingredients":

1. Narcissists think they are better than others
2. Narcissists' views tend to be contrary to reality. 3. Narcissists' "self-views" tend to be greatly exaggerated.
4. Narcissists perceive themselves to be unique and special people.[12]
5. Research upon narcissists’ behaviour supports the case for narcissists as being selfish.
6. Narcissists are oriented towards success.

Finally, Hotchkiss identified what she called the seven deadly sins of narcissism. Here's the first 5:

1. Shamelessness - Shame is the feeling that lurks beneath all unhealthy narcissism, and the inability to process shame in healthy ways.

2. Magical thinking - Narcissists see themselves as perfect using distortion and illusion known as magical thinking. They also use projection to dump shame onto others.

3. Arrogance - A narcissist who is feeling deflated may reinflate by diminishing, debasing, or degrading somebody else.

4. Envy - A narcissist may secure a sense of superiority in the face of another person's ability by using contempt to minimize the other person.

5. Entitlement - Narcissists hold unreasonable expectations of particularly favorable treatment and automatic compliance because they consider themselves special. Any failure to comply will be considered an attack on their superiority and the perpetrator is considered to be an "awkward" or "difficult" person. Defiance of their will is a narcissistic injury that can trigger narcissistic rage.

Barry Hussein Obama is not just your average, run-of-the-mill egomaniac politician. He's a sick man.

Anthony| 11.4.10 @ 10:15AM

Thank you Dr. for the cogent analysis. Obozo is indeed a very sick man, but he has company. The entire leftist movement is deranged, and carry many of Obozo's symptoms.
The pressure and the fizzures are going to build even more over the next two years. I hate to say it, but it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

Tex Expatriate| 11.5.10 @ 3:56PM

Right, Doc. I'm a doc, too, and have seem many NPDs in my time. But more than that, Obama is a radical socialist, a true believe trained in that type of ideology since childhood, and---not to put too much a point on it---totally incapable of critical thinking.

joanc| 11.4.10 @ 9:13AM

The veil has been lifted on Obama. He will start to psychologically deteriorate at a faster and faster rate. He will feel more and more threatened by the public and by his new GOP masters. Expect a complete and utter dissolution of his persona, and it will be for all the world to see. The new leaders in the GOP better be making plans for this.

Redstateboy| 11.4.10 @ 9:38AM

one of the several things Hussien said at the News Conf. I objected to was... if the Republicans have ideas - he would listen. Does he take us for idiots?
I remember during the Healthcare debate when the Republicans went to the WH and he lectured John McCain that the election is over.. He didn't give a rip about the Republicans idea at any point in the last Two Years!

MacDaddy| 11.4.10 @ 10:11AM

Yeah, I caught that part, too, and nearly spit my tea on the TV.....BHO's idea of listening is letting anyone who disagrees with him complete a sentence before insisting we all do it his way. Never forget: "I won the election."

Bob Miller| 11.4.10 @ 10:09AM

Now that he is a political millstone, Obama will be getting a lot of grief from the many Democrats to whom only winning matters.

Pete| 11.4.10 @ 10:17AM

He doesn't care one bit that he drove the car off the cliff and killed his fellow dems at the polls. By leftist standards and goals, he is the most successful president of all time already with the passing of Obamacare. He'll spend the next two years strengthening the voter fraud infrastructure (including judges), and happily head out to the UN in 2012 where he can hang with his kind.

hunter| 11.4.10 @ 10:24AM

Ohhh come on! Just remember Obomba still has the keys to the car, and he will be in control. Although that car was recently photographed sitting on the white house lawn on blocks. The wheels gone, several doors missing, hood up with parts of engine missing, trunk lid up, large pools of oil, coolant and undetrimed liguids under the car. I'm sure Obomba is doing a shade tree tune up and the car will be better than ever, especially if he can figure out how to remove the R on the transmission selector.

Coming soon-to a theatre near you- "Die Hard 4."
The story of how our hero Barack Obama saves the American People from their evil president and restores Nancy Pelosi to her rightful throne! Just in time for the 2012 election season!!

Lillian Hise | 11.5.10 @ 3:25PM

How come no one peeked into the "prism of his
personality" before voting him in office? This is way too difficult for him to analyze himself. But there is no such excuse for intelligent Americans, and even less excuse for Congress to have tolerated this disgrace, many who are actually lawyers. When I heard Pelosi declare they were parachusting obamacare to Americans...whether they want it or not, and the 2001 page obamanation would have to be passed so we would know what it is in it? Tell me, some sane person, do inform me, why wasn't the audience on their feet throwing eggs and rotten tomatoes at her? Anybody passing an unread bill deserves long jail time. What a more bitter pill. To me, there is no longer anything democratic in any democratic policies. They have crossed over the great divide, and might as well be following "Lenin". America in Crisis has been unbelievable these past months.
OldGlory on the sidewalk, illegals walking and wiping their feet, painting obscene language on the symbol of America.......with an "official" standing an inch away. Was it State Police? Security? Who was that man not doing his job?
these pictures flaunted all over the world who knew the president of USA didn't blink an eye & all nodded....uh huh, America has succombed to Communism. This election not the shakeup I prayed for, prob because God didn't want to make it too easy for slackers, but gives us a foot in the door. OK
LET AMERICA NOT HIDE ITS LIGHT BEHIND A BUSHEL THIS TIME.

Oldefarte| 11.5.10 @ 3:33PM

In October I wrote a letter to our newspaper, complaining that polls showed a 50-50 split between Obama and McCain; and that because of same, that the American people were either insane or stupid. Well, thankfully, they now have awakened and are aware of who and what he is [and has been]. Unfortionately, we now have two years of his disasterous policies behind us and two years of potential disasters facing us. On Tuesday, we began the needed correction of our 2008 mistake, and will make a further correction in 2012. Americans, like most humans, are not faultless, but we nonetheless have the capacity to, upon realizing our mistakes, make corrections and to thereby redeem ourselves. Thanks especially to those patriotic tea-partiers and to Tuesday's voters, we now are on our way to total redemption and repair!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have any idea Why, Oh Why, the media (foxs particularly) is NOT repudiating BowBow's lavish trip to Asia? Why can't he be made to stay under the premise of a "potenital security threat"?

mayday521| 11.6.10 @ 12:27AM

Alas, take heed...for May 21, 2011 cometh like a thief in the night...unless we pay attention and check out: http://www.familyradio.com/

Tom in Michigan| 11.6.10 @ 9:48AM

The 'letter" comment says it all. Obama and all the progs think we're stupid. How else to explain such an absurdity put forth in a blatant and frankly, childish appeal for sympathy? "Poor me," quoth the President of the United States of America.

Yosemeti Sam| 11.6.10 @ 10:48AM

BHO, to 2010 election-surviving Democrats - all aboard on his chartered bus.

Destination - Area 51.

LOL.

The killer rabbit that stalked Carter must be the same one that attacked the knights in Monty Python's Holy Grail movie. It goes straight for the throat! Look out, Jimmy!

Technocrat For US | 11.6.10 @ 8:27PM

Mr. Obama, don't worry, we are the people still love you. we hope that you will give the best think for US

House Design Idea | 11.7.10 @ 2:12AM

Mr. Obama just go a head and Bring amerika to the better nation not killer nation

John | 11.7.10 @ 4:35AM

I think not killer nation

konastephen| 11.7.10 @ 12:53PM

wow. nothing to add here. it's all been said. Booger's the man. Obama's a shlemiel and Carter is "the mean little peanut farmer from Georgia" as always. Case closed. Next!

Michael T| 11.7.10 @ 3:29PM

I had to laugh when I heard an NPR 'analyst' decry Sen. McConnell's refusal to accept Barry's condescension in the wake of his spanking. At first I thought McConnell was incorrect, but the more I think about it, why should anyone in America accept an olive branch from the jerk?

Frog8375| 11.7.10 @ 10:55PM

Obama might want to visit ''The Nile" while on his little junket. Maybe it would help him define between the two. What he suffers from is not the river.

OBAMA FULFILLING THE BIBLE

Here are some Bible verses that Pres. Obama avoids:
Proverbs 19:10 (NIV): "It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury - how much worse for a slave to rule over princes!"
Also Proverbs 30:22 (NIV) which says that the earth cannot bear up under "a servant who becomes king."
And Ecclesiastes 5:2-3 (KJV) advises: "let thy words be few...a fool's voice is known by multitude of words."
Although Obama is not descended from slaves, he may feel that he's destined to become a black-slavery avenger.
Or maybe an enslaver of all free citizens!
For more on the Obamas, Google "Michelle Obama's Allah-day" and "Obama Supports Public Depravity." For light on Islam, Google "F. N. Lee's ISLAM IN THE BIBLE (PDF)."

Christian Louboutin | 6.23.11 @ 5:32AM

Amidst the practiced pauses and detached narration of the crash came a litany of excuses, evasions, and arrogant denials. He more or less cast himself as the victim of a "bad economy," as if two years of sending anti-business signals to employers had nothing to do with the high jobless rate.
