James O’Keefe’s crew’s latest: two guys, acting as Russian drug runners who are pimping out their sisters for seed money, try to sign up for Medicaid in Ohio.
This video is highly edited, but O’Keefe has said that he will furnish the unedited videos to state AGs for investigations.
In a way, videos like this are unfair: Medicaid is a giant program, and there are bound to be shady characters in any organization so large.
Overall, though, videos like these are a service to taxpayers and Medicaid recipients alike (assuming there are no tricks involved, which is a big assumption). This program is supposed to help the poor. It’s to no one’s benefit that its administrators, apparently, view fraud and abetting criminals as totally routine.
