Our Unmasterful National Security Advisor

National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster and his predecessor Mike Flynn do not see eye to eye on Islamism.

McMaster, from the now outdated CENTCOM playbook, is having none of the talk about Islamism. He continues to espouse the discredited Palestinian narrative, while dignifying the fraudulent accusation of Islamophobia. The Tillerson/McMaster axis is not likely to end Islamist aggression.

The influence of Big Oil has remained well entrenched. Intelligence, State and CENTCOM, after two generations of acting as guard dogs for Big Oil, remain fully stocked with Big Oil’s bidders.

McMaster and Secretary of State Tillerson remain operationally in sync with the non-Iranian Islamist states. The NIIS, with Russia holding the umbrella for a soon to be nuclear Iran, are in a full-blown state of panic. McMaster needs to prevent the forced transfer of NIIS oil assets to Iran. But his strategy appears to be based on “my enemy’s enemy is my friend.”

We heatedly criticized president Obama for failing to name the enemy. True to that criticism, the tragic passage of the Iran deal (2015) was more the result of strategic ambivalence than political brinkmanship.

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the American Jewish Committee, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Foundation all failed to explain Iran’s nefarious Islamist objective within the context of its genocidally racist ideology. This grave omission left the Jewish polity without the truth. Trusted Jewish grandfathers like Senators Schumer and Cardin, and grandmothers like Senator Feinstein, were in a position to influence their oblivious herd, were it not for their own ignorance. The failure of Jews to have recoiled en masse to this nuclear-tipped threat against the Jewish State was a powerful political sedative administered by Obama.

Iran must be neutered by defeating Islamism as a political ideology. The NIIS insidiously support the non-militaristic infrastructure of the global Islamist movement. The ascendance of Senator Tim Kaine, an overt apologist for the Muslim Brotherhood, to the candidacy for vice president of the United States is evidence of NIIS’ skillful maneuvering. Similarly, Representative Keith Ellison, loyal foot soldier for the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), rose without notoriety to the No. 2 position within the Democratic National Committee. CAIR, classified by the United Arab Emirates as a terrorist organization, is a long-time defender of the Muslim Brotherhood and its subsidiaries.

A necessary component of defanging Iran is to identify the strategy NIIS is implementing within the United States and in Western Europe.

Helping NIIS to foil Iranian nuclear designs and roll back Iranian territorial gains is strategically essential. But in exchange for our assistance, we should demand the acknowledgment that 80% of the mosques in the United States are funded by the Wahhabist movement. Based in Saudi Arabia, the Wahhabist movement justifies violent terror attacks against infidel populations and supports the execution of homosexuals and blasphemers. The terms and conditions of our assistance to NIIS nations like Saudi Arabia should include immediate cessation of Wahhabist influence in the United States. In this regard, McMaster’s obsequious bow to accusers of Islamophobia is a discouraging step in the wrong direction.
