Talal Alali

Dr. Talal Alali is an academic with interests in social, forensic, and clinical psychology. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at Kuwait University, he is deeply engaged in researching armed conflicts, PTSD, collective identity, trauma, wars, mental disorders, and resilience. Dr. Alali's research explores how trauma and violence are rationalized and their impact on both individuals and communities. He examines the formation and dynamics of collective identities in the context of conflict. His work also investigates the psychological mechanisms underlying resilience and recovery from traumatic experiences. Dr. Alali received his Bachelor's degree from Kuwait University, his MA from the City College of the City University of New York, and his PhD from the University of Edinburgh. He has worked at several universities and mental institutions and has studied at many other institutions, contributing to a rich and diverse academic background.
