Leonardo Di Bonaventura-Altuve

Leonardo Di Bonaventura-Altuve is a Venezuelan PhD student in Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on the international dimensions of democratization and international relations theory. Di Bonaventura-Altuve was born and raised in Venezuela, where he continues to work closely on issues of democratization and electoral observation. Di Bonaventura-Altuve’s research has also been featured at top academic journals like Review of International Political Economy. He has also contributed analyses and opinions to The Hill, The National Interest, Global Americans, Caracas Chronicle, SAIS Review of International Affairs, Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS), and Venezuela’s most important newspaper, El Nacional. Prior to joining the Political Science department at UC Berkeley, he worked for the Organization of American States (OAS), CSIS, and Global Americans.
