This Sunday’s television lineup may look a little bare without the customary evening NFL games, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up watching TV. Dave Pivonka to discuss his book The Worst of Indignities: The Catholic Church on Slavery.

The show will air on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 10 p.m. EST and on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 3 a.m. EST. Kengor will discuss his research and writing on the Catholic Church’s centuries-long condemnation of slavery and the scriptural reasons for its opposition to the practice. He will also consider the history of slavery in the United States and critical race theory’s role in fanning the flames of race-tensions.
