The Russians are now where the Nazis were when they invaded Poland. Indiscriminate terror killing of civilians to “break the morale” of the Ukrainian people. The U.S. stands fairly idly by. Where is Mr. Biden? He’s been MIA for several days now.
Yes, Ukraine is not a member of NATO. But we have to help them anyway. If we just sit by the swimming pool at the Beverly Hills Hotel as Ukrainian children are blown to pieces merely for the “crime” of being Ukrainian, then who are we? And if the Russians take Ukraine (which God forbid!), then who’s next? Poland? Czech Republic? Slovakia?
It will never be Turkey. They are way too tough.
But if Putin sees that the USA has taken a drug that makes us powerless, why should he stop anywhere?
Stalin told Harriman at the end of World War II that he envied the Tsar who got to Paris. Isn’t Putin at least that aggressive?
This is the time. We have a people ready and willing to fight. They can use almost any armament we give or sell them. Let’s take off the rubber band. We have been given a rare super opportunity to see the real Russia. Let’s send them the tools and let them save themselves and western democracy.
The hour is late. The clock of destiny is ticking. Do we stop it or does it stop us?
