Sen. Blanche Lincoln may have survived the Democratic primary only to be slaughtered in November. The latest Rasmussen poll shows her trailing Republican Congressman John Boozman by 61 percent to 32 percent. Boozman leads among independents by 79 percent to 15 percent. That’s a pretty steep hill to climb. Lincoln deviated from the party line just often enough to annoy liberals but not nearly enough to keep her numbers up in conservative Arkansas.
