The spirit of the American Revolution lives on in the minds of two out of three Americans who, according to Rasmussen polling, “think the purpose of the Second Amendment is to make sure that people are able to protect themselves from tyranny.”
Just 17 percent of respondents disagreed with the statement, and 18 percent were unsure. As the favorability for Obama and his partners in the anti-gun movement plummets, the NRA has seen its popularity rise. Here’s hoping it isn’t two months too late.
