What would you do if a man in the audience of your Democractic Presidential forum stood up and threatened violence against another female candidate, albeit an opponent?
If you’re Crusader for All Women Hillary Clinton, the answer is, apparently, laugh hysterically and crack a joke about wanting to “avoid” the questioner. Because violence against women Republicans is downright hiiiiilarious…right?
That’s classy. That is most definitely classy.
I’m sure that the left is loading up ammunition: “he didn’t mean it – he’s just trying to be funny!” and that very well may be the case, though I’d argue this man’s sense of humor is somewhat twisted if he thinks a desire to strangle someone is something you announce publicly on national television. Clinton and her feminist allies would, of course, be loathe to grant the same deference to someone who shouted that out at, say, a Trump rally. And it’s a cardinal virtue of modern feminism that it’s not about what you say, it’s how the words you say make another person feel – and I definitely feel triggered. I’m most certainly being oppressed. This is a culture of violence towards women!
Sigh.
