Trying to Understand

Just a few hints about the situation here. I still don’t understand why we have lockdowns for COVID-19 but not for swine flu. I still don’t understand why, if preventing the deaths of the innocent is the goal, we allow abortion. There are about 750,000 abortions a year here. Every victim is totally innocent. Why don’t we outlaw abortions if we want to save lives? Why do people cheer abortion as if it were saving lives when in fact it’s taking lives? How did we get into this situation where we worship death for babies and go into national shock over deaths of adults?

I fully agree COVID-19 is terrifying. I fully agree on masks and social distancing. But why is “a woman’s right to choose” something to scream with glee about?

What about our right to go out? Isn’t that a right, too? Right to worship? Isn’t that a right, too?

Meanwhile, my wife and I watch a lot of TV. My favorites are CSI: Miami and CSI: New York and Rookie Blue. I think Jerry Bruckheimer, who produces the first two, is a genuine genius. To think I get to see them all for free is a miracle. When they end at about 1 a.m., my wife and I pray for a really long time for G-d to remove the coronavirus from the Earth. We also pray for our relatives, and we especially pray for G-d to bless all those who fight in our wars and protect us from foreign enemies and for the police and the doctors and nurses and for everyone who saves us.

I start to pray for all my friends past and present, and the list is endless. I have been blessed with some wonderful friends. Thank you, Lord.

Most of all, I am blessed with my wife, the world’s most wonderful person. I make dinner for her every night and she eats it con gusto and that makes me very happy.

God bless America. And watch CSI: Miami. It’s great. And CSI: New York, also great. I love David Caruso and Gary Sinise. Mr. Sinise played George Wallace in a movie long ago and he was fabulous.

God bless you all.
