What are we really seeing here in the middle of this tragedy? And make no mistake this is a very real tragedy for Trayvon Martin’s parents and family.

Is this becoming about race? Yes indeed. (See here, as Al Sharpton does his thing.)

But not the way the left-stream media wants you to think about race.

First?

History. Important history.

Let’s start with a question about you and your doctor. And no, we’re not talking health care here today.

So you have a doctor, and have had that doctor for years. You go into to see him/her for a regular physical, or maybe you have a particular ailment you want to get checked out.

What happens when the doctor walks in the door to the examining room?

Here’s what doesn’t happen. The doctor doesn’t ask for your name — because he/she knows it already. The doctor doesn’t pull out a blank sheet of paper and start asking questions about your medical history. Why? Because, if this has been your doctor for years — he/she knows your medical history already. What they open is your file, a file that contains that medical history. And whether you are getting a routine physical or checking out a particular problem, your life didn’t start when you walked into the doctor’s office that day. Whatever the doctor is going to say to you —he/she will say it based on an understanding of your personal medical history.

It is no different with a nation — or a political party or philosophy. News events may look like something brand new — but in point of fact, that is never the case. Ever. Nations have histories. Political parties have histories. Political philosophies have histories.

I am a real conservative not a Neoconservative. You boys would not know the difference. I like people like Ron Paul, Bob Taft, Pat Buchanan, Scott Walker, Joe McCarthy, Murray Rothbard, Russell Kirk, Herbert Hoover for foreign policy, and Bob Novak. I was a subscriber to National Review for 42 years until the Neocns took over and ruined the publication. I had dinner with Mr. Buckley on a couple of occasion. I went to Reagan's second innaugeration in 1985 and Bush's in 1989. I will match my conservative credentials with anyone here.

A good many of the conservatives that like to post here need to do a bit of historical research. Conservatism includes a very large portion of libertarianism. Most of you would probably detest what the founders actually were. People like Santorum are not conservatives, no matter what they think they are. They are legitimately called Neoconservatives because they are, in their hearts, statists.

Moe, what you think conservatives do would be impossible without liberty, as we are seeing increasingly. Even people like Reagan had serious problems in that regard. The restricted use of certain words is just one more sign of our society's destruction -- one group insisting that it alone is allowed to use a certain word.

If the N-word and the Q-word (which I wouldn't want to use anyway) are so offensive, no one should use them; however, the groups to which they refer use them with pride. It's the attitude of "I have the right and the freedom to say this, but you don't" that worries me.

The reason blacks can use the black version of the "N" word is because it's not really the same word. It's "adopted" yes, but it's "adapted". Used among blacks it doesn't carry the same meaning. By the way, it's not "N*gger", it's "Nigga". Can be used casually in all sorts of ways by blacks, but spoken by a black it's not imbued with racist intent. The racist word is "N*gger" which is what white people use. It ain't a friendly term. That's a mile away from what blacks use. And yes, it's not a good idea for a white to use the word nigga, unless in fairly rare cases where he's accepted as "one of us" among black friends and they all accept him talking that way because he has adopted their culture, music and speech patterns, and they know and like him. "Nigga" as spoken among blacks can mean something simple like guy, dude, fellow... like "Look at that nigga over there. Americans for Prosperity had over 50 buses arrive in DC Tuesday where we heard Paul Ryan, Ron Johnson, Rand Paul, Jim DeMint, Scott Garrett, Mchelle Bachmann, Brent Bozell and other great Americans. Congressman Allen West also gave a stirring speech, and I had the distinct pleasure of shaking his hand and speaking with him afterward.
There are many strong conservatives with intelligence and courage in the Republican Party. The trick is to replace McConnell, Boehner, Cantor, McLame and Lindsay "Lohan" Graham with more great men and women such as those who spoke to us Tuesday.

I don't think that's an accurate observation Mark. I know a lot of Americans of Color who are happy...but, 95% of them WILL vote for Barack Obama because they percieve him as a light skinned "Black Man" when it is just as possible and probable that he is instead...a dark skinned white guy... who is just conning them out of their vote.
Maybe they should judge by examining what race his closest advisors are..starting with David Axlerod and working their way down through the ranks until they get to a black person...on his staff, not his cabinet.
