Babbling incessantly about a fictitious “war on women,” Barack
Obama and his band of hubristic hedonists play the victim even as
they rape the freedom and conscience rights of the religious.
Obamacare’s decree that the religious pay for the promiscuity of
their employees and students represents the greatest
government-directed assault on religious liberty in the history of
America.
The audacity of the president’s secularist hope — which
is nothing more than a totalitarian power grab against the Catholic
Church and other denominations — is despicable. The GOP should
apologize for nothing in this battle of the culture war and take
the fight to him. Portray him every day as an enemy of religion and
conscience rights. And do not surrender one inch to a mau-mauing
media of anti-religious bigots who do his bidding day in and day
out.
Far more troubling than Rush Limbaugh’s comment about
Sandra Fluke is the cowardice of country club Republicans who
refuse to join the talk show host in denouncing Obama for his war
on religion. If anybody deserves an apology from Rush, it is
prostitutes. They pay for their birth control themselves, and,
unlike Fluke, they don’t demand that the clergy underwrite their
carnal activities.
Let’s cut the PC crap: college and law school students who
demand that priests and nuns finance their fornication deserve
searing satirical treatment. This is the sorriest collection of
arrogant snots in the history of academia. Perhaps the sequel to
“Failure to Launch” — that Hollywood vehicle about an in-residence
thirtysomething who beds women in his parents’ house — will be a
pornographic film in which the aging protagonist uses the Obamacare
HHS mandate to purchase an endless supply of Viagra.
Obama already mandates the lunacy of
26-year-old-and-younger “kids” purchasing abortion pills and
contraceptives through the insurance plans of their parents. Now he
has to dragoon the religious into this absurd spectacle
too.
Naturally, Georgetown, yet another phony “Catholic”
university in the tank for Obama (its faculty outranked all other
faculties, religious and non-religious, in campaign donations to
the openly anti-Catholic candidate in 2008), sided with Sandra
Fluke. Out rolled the familiar wheelbarrow of pitiful PC clichés
from the office of Georgetown President John J. DeGioia:
In recent days, a law student of Georgetown, Sandra Fluke,
offered her testimony regarding the proposed regulations by the
Department of Health and Human Services before a group of members
of Congress. She was respectful, sincere, and spoke with
conviction. She provided a model of civil discourse. This
expression of conscience was in the tradition of the deepest values
we share as a people. One need not agree with her substantive
position to support her right to respectful free expression. And
yet, some of those who disagreed with her position — including
Rush Limbaugh and commentators throughout the blogosphere and in
various other media channels — responded with behavior that can
only be described as misogynistic, vitriolic, and a
misrepresentation of the position of our
student.
In other words, the flaky modern Jesuits DeGioia
represents stand ready to give Fluke an allowance for her
pre-marital sex. Somehow I can’t imagine the Jesuit founder, St.
Ignatius of Loyola, describing a demand from one of his students
for subsidized sin as an “expression of
conscience.”
After Obama’s bogus HHS mandate “compromise,” several
Jesuit colleges and universities praised it loudly, even though the
issue is moot for them, since they already furnish their students
with condoms, contraceptive jellies, and an assortment of pills.
Nor are some of the Jesuits themselves above nibbling at the crumbs
that fall from the table of this sexual revolution. Several years
back, a progressive California Jesuit who decided to quit the order
successfully demanded that his provincial pay for his vasectomy on
the way out.
It is too bad that Tom Wolfe hasn’t yet applied his comic
talents to secularized Catholic universities like Georgetown. “I Am
Sandra Fluke” would make for an illuminating novel of modern
farce.

And at $6,000 a year. it would appear that the MOOD hits with every sighting of the Moon.
Mr. Fluke? How's it feel to know that your Daughter's a WH*RE? How does it feel that the whole world knows that your Daughter's getting POUNDED, to the tune of $6,000 a year in Contraceptives? God knows what she's spending on CHAP STICK?

What a classless piece of misogynistic trash you are. And a dumb one, to boot. What sort of moron hears a woman testify that some women spend $1000 a year on contraception and figures that means she spends $6000 a year so she can get laid? A lying moron like you, Timmy.
Do you think your daughters are going to grow up to be proud of the way their father thinks of women? I'd be stunned.
Dai Alanye | 3.5.12 @ 9:19AM
Does DRed subsidize his own daughters to enable their sexual activity? Or does he expect others to do so?
Rush made a tactical error, but Fluke is merely a political activist, undeserving of much sympathy.

DRed, I've never met a woman who called herself a slut...no matter how many men she has had sex with. The hypocrisy of this mental gymnastics is astounding.

DRed| 3.5.12 @ 5:10PM
Again, what is she doing that makes you think she's a slut? Anyone who advocates for contraceptives to be covered by insurance is a slut? Can you really think of no reasons for a woman to want their contraception to be covered by insurance? You know you use the same amount of contraception no matter how much sex you're having, right? A woman with one sexual partner uses the same amount as a woman with dozens. So it doesn't logically follow that only a slut would want contraception.

I'm thinking to myself that it's ironic that the anti-Christian Marxist left in the USA stole a lot from Christ's ministry which was to collect all the sinners around him with one fundamental difference: Christ sought to reform the sinner and provide redemption while the left encourages sinful behavior, even by their own standards, in the pursuit of power and selfish gains. Most leftists make money from their church of big government.
Truth be told, the leftist faux indignation over Rush's wording was a trial balloon. Rush has said and done stuff far worse than this in the past and didn't apologize. It's part of their standard playbook to gripe over every single thing their opponents say and do. Rush apologizing lent (surprising) credibility to their gripes and they went for the jugular. " Sandra Fluke a 30 year old activist, not a 23 year
Fluke came to Georgetown University interested in contraceptive coverage: She researched the Jesuit college’s health plans for students before enrolling, and found that birth control was not included. “I decided I was absolutely not willing to compromise the quality of my education in exchange for my health care,” says Fluke, who has spent the past three years lobbying the administration to change its policy on the issue. The issue got the university president’s office last spring, where Georgetown declined to change its policy.
The Daily Caller reported that Fluke has a long history of activism:
Fluke attended Cornell University from 1999-2003, where she received a B.S. in Policy Analysis & Management and Feminist, Gender, & Sexuality Studies.
While at Cornell, Fluke’s organized activities centered on the far-left feminist and gender equity movements. Fluke participated in rallies supporting abortion, protests against war in Iraq and efforts to recruit other womens’ rights activists to campus.
During that period, she gained experience engaging in disputes concerning abortion with religious organizations."

Abs0lutely 100% correct, Neumayr. Now, here's the REAL problem: the Flukes and the Obamas of this world are a bunch of narcissistic, whiny punks who are the direct cultural legacy of the 1960s hippie movement. make no mistake about it, the hippies WON the Culture War.
Nothing is going to change without a conservative cultural counter-revolution that responds with more force than the 40-year long Leftist revolution. Nothing will change until conservative counterrevolutionaries stage mass "Chicago '68" style demonstrations, form right wing squadristi, the rightist equivalent of the Weathermen, reclaim pop culture, the universities, and the bureaucracy and put FEAR into the hearts of their Leftist opponents.
THAT's how the Left won the culture war... I don't see that happening on the Right.

Fascism, particularly Francoism, was in many ways a serious -- nay, the ONLY response -- to the destruction wrought by the Left in post-WWI Europe.
Most contemporaries cannot even comprehend just how badly the conservative monarchies screwed up and left Europe's greatest nations to the mercies of the Left, which immediately began to sow the seeds of Communist agitation.
Frankly I think Hitler gave fascism a bad name with his anti-Semitism and his death camps. A total overreaction that claimed a lot of innocent people.
But I don't have the SLIGHTEST problem with the patriotic veterans of the Freikorps who took out Rosa Luxembourg and the Bavarian Soviet.
How much longer do you think it's going to be before we end up in a latter day Weimar Republic -- if we aren't in one ALREADY??? If you think Mitt Romney's or the Republican Party's going to save us, maybe you should read up on Franz von Papen a bit.
Seek| 3.6.12 @ 5:30PM
Ah, so Hitler "overreacted." He had the right idea, you see, he just got somewhat carried away. Dr. X, you have proven my point.
By the way, if you think Franco represented a "proper" response to the Left, read historian Paul Preston's biography of him to see what El Caudillo and his Falangists wrought upon Spain -- and not just upon the Left.
James Solbakken | 3.13.12 @ 1:59PM
Franco & Pinochet succeeded with their fascism much better than the communists did with their communism. Fascism also proved much much much easier to reform than communism.

Then they came for the Catholics, and I was not Catholic so I said nothing.

Then they came for my kids and gave them condoms and KY Jelly in grade school ,with Kevin Jennings real life demonstrations but no one was left to stand up for me.

Obama's contraceptive mandate is much more than an attack on religion. It is another action demonstrating government's growing dictatorial control over every day life events, no matter how personal. How can we think of ourselves being free when there is a government edict for every action that is taken in society?
It is depressing to see how dependent some Americans have become. A 30 year old student is chosen to testify before legislators asking that others be forced to pay for her ordinary health care expenses. The Women's movement of the 1960s, who prided themselves as being strong and independent, must be ashamed of what is taking place. Is the nation really evolving into a dependent, child-like society?
tsd| 3.5.12 @ 8:19AM
Once again the push for centralized control by the liberal left for the liberal left is what is in question... first on a national level and then on a international level. The aim is to do it by building up claims on environmental concerns and so called human rights and then tearing down any competition such as religion that would challenge they're right to rule/control the mass's. They will push and push and use any method to strike down any who challenge. They will create a politically correct maze to drive out detractors who would boldly challenge any of their outlandish claims. I am not always a Rush fan, but in the end he is one of the good guys.
stmichrick| 3.5.12 @ 8:48AM
Sandra Fluke is an activist in the fight to mainstream the 'shit happens' lifestyle, which happens to apply to many Obama supporters. When you listen to big media for extended periods one forgets how many people would think that the spectacle of a Georgetown law student, on television, whining about the cost of her social lifestyle and demanding that a catholic organization roll over and pay for it is pretty absurd. I have as much sympathy for her as I do for people who buy houses near airports and complain about noise. The idea that free birth control constitutes essential healthcare is also absurd on its face, yet typical of modern liberal thought. As with the medical marijuana and abortion advocates, the issue of who might actually medically need these elective treatments and procedures is fogged by these lifestyle advocates.
Rush's schtick lives in the rhetorical realm and won't attach itself to any particular candidate (as he hasn't). Politics is now more in the popular culture than any time since the sixties (you remember, the great 'Leftward Enlightenment' period) Without public people like Rush, Coulter and Breitbart to explode leftist highjinxs, these propositions are accepted by many, who don't think too deeply, as the 'new' way to think about things. Political candidates shouldn't touch these side shows because they are not as nimble as Rush. Nancy Pelosi and operatives like Stephanopoulas will try to set these traps by laying such PR bait. To the extent a candidate stumbles in will determine their fate. All that needs to be said is, 'Rush has his way of expressing opposition, I have mine.' Let Barack Obama weigh in and give us more ammunition.
Believe it or not Rush et al are not large political factors as they've been around through both democrat AND republican victories. The stunts conceived by the left, like Fluke's "testimony," are not arguments from 'the other side' of an issue to be 'fair' with. They are symptoms of a mental pathology that needs to be ‘treated’ because it spreads easily with lazy thought processes and encouragement by the big media. Conservative republicans have plenty to argue amongst themselves about while we endure these primaries. I'll be glad when they are over.
But I would like to see the video if Fluke gets her birth control allowance.
albert constantine jr.| 3.5.12 @ 8:59AM
Regarding Ms. Fluke and her desire to have Georgetown University, taxpayers, insurance companies or anyone but her pay for her birth control, I offer the following observation. I recall a few years back seeing the bumper sticker “Get Your Rosaries Off My Ovaries”. Apparently the line underneath that I couldn’t read was “I Want Your Dollar Bills For My Plan B Pills”.
jlkthree| 3.5.12 @ 9:53AM
What the mainstream media was able to do to Rush, they can also do to Newt and Santorum. They will simply not allow either one of them to be president.Romney is a much more difficult matter for them.
stmichrick| 3.5.12 @ 10:30AM
What was 'done' to Rush was primarily a function of the squeamishness of his advertisers and maybe his wife, not the mainstream media. Don't forget what happened to Harry Reid and the drive-bys after the phony soldier episode.

I remember several years ago, watching a news person interviewing a femmi-plannabortionist outside a plannedabortion clinic, protest against the church. (GOD). I could hardly belive it then, but if I hadn't heard it with my own ears... She said "The church (GOD) is going to have to listen to the will of the people. Things have changed with modern times, the church (God), needs to be brought up to date." Well I'm sure God will get on that real soon. Thanks to eve we have hell here on earth. Thats why child bearing is so painful....But ohh I forgot, with birth control pills and the morning after abortion pill there is no birth. Thus no pain...The woman has certainly outsmarted God....Yea, RIGHT. God will see that the sentence of pain upon the woman is borne one way or the other. The dried up old witches like glorie stennimen are going to bring on this country a misery and pain far worse than childbearing. As far as the Ms. Flute, if she can afford The expensive college, she should afford birth control. Besides I understand that a plannedabortion clinic is within walking distance from her dorm for free. But with all the extracurricular activities I guess she don't have time. Rush is a good name for Rush, he needs to slow down and watch out for decietful practicing young pretty witches.

Everything in your article is what I was speaking to all last week while I played merry go round with Aaron.
This failure to realize the basic lessons Breitbart was teaching us about how to be a warrior and effectively fight the Left will be responsible for the mortal death of conservatism.
I have tried for three years on this site to warn you, educate you, and share with you what I know from being a radical and a liberal most of my life.
What comes next, you can thank your pal there, Goldstein, and so many others in your media.

Does anyone but me see the incredible irony here? Conservatives comes to that ingrate bastard Immus 's defense, give him a second chance and a job, this is how a liberal and he is one, pays you back.
The stupidity I have witnessed being demonstrated by your fellow talking heads on the right is sometimes just too much to deal with and handle. The way so many are played by the Left and their media machine can make someone just cry at times.
Well, lessons learned the hard way and better late than never. You have a voice as an opinion journalist and a lot of influence, start using it and fight them all the way, never give them ground, and call them out every chance you get.

They are playing by no rules, they could give a rats ass about you playing by them. They are counting on it. They see it as your achilles heel.
Stop letting these liberal hypocrites define and tell you what you can say, think, and do. Stop giving them the power to define morality, ethics, values, language, acceptable thought, what you eat, how you live, your institutions, your rights, your liberties....
Do not accept their narratives about anything, anyone, anytime.

Pastor emeritus Nathan Bickel | 3.6.12 @ 5:06AM
Mr. George Neumayr - Excellent short and concise commentary!
You summed up (appropriately) this current political issue with the following acute description:
.......In other words, the flaky modern Jesuits DeGioia represents stand ready to give Fluke an allowance for her pre-marital sex. Somehow I can't imagine the Jesuit founder, St. Ignatius of Loyola, describing a demand from one of his students for subsidized sin as an "expression of conscience."....... [your words]
I strongly believe that it's a perversion to "subsidize" sin, and then rationalize it by saying that this subsidized sin is an "expression of conscience." No, - it is an expression of multiple fornications [hedonistic activity]. Furthermore, this [so-called] "expression of conscience" (termed, by the political left) is merely the political correctness / multicultural manner of needlessly "taking offense" to another worldview perspective. I'm reminded how leftist people and their political groups conjure up the political correctness (nasty) tactic of "taking on offense" and using their (erroneous) offended perspective to launch ideological warfare upon their [the] Christian and Conservative opposition.
Definition of "offense: "An offense is something that is said or done whereby our opinion of God and men is distorted; and an offense is active when I give it, passive when I take (patior) it." [Dr. Martin Luther]
Finally, you are correct in saying (implying, in effect) that Conservatives need to take the fight to a higher level. Politicians on the political right would do (very well) to trumpet the moral sinful "inefficiencies" (crimes against humanity) committed by their political left, rivals. Not only should Conservative (God fearing) politicians be morally outspoken, many religious leaders, pastors, priests and rabbis need to apply the teachings of the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures to the everyday decadent world (cosmos). Here are a couple of examples, as I am not mealy mouthed in my online topical Christian message approach, endeavor:
"The President of the United States: A Sex Offender? - Why Obama's support of the abortion industry is the worst molestation of youth:"
http://www.thechristianmessage.....ender.html
The Infanticide / Abortion Genocide US "President" Obama
http://www.thechristianmessage.....e-and.html
In short, Conservatives and Christians need to oppose the present Obama Administration and their counterpart liberal political party and kowtowing media, not because it is opposite their political philosophy, but, primarily, because it is godless and hedonistic, in nature and most contrary to a healthy worldview and practical lifestyle manner.
wodiej| 3.6.12 @ 6:12AM
Gingrich has been the most mature about this entire thing among conservatives. I am not a Limbaugh fan but I give him credit for apologizing and his reason for doing so was spot on. This argument never was about free birth control. It was about the language Limbaugh used. The overwhelming comments I have seen from conservatives think that him implying women who want free birth control are sluts and prostitutes were just fine and dandy. On one hand many conservatives are appalled at this kind of language if it is used against a conservative. But if it's used to frame a debate about a liberal, then they don't mind. It's called hypocrisy. Alot of married couples use BC too. Are those women sluts and prostitutes? Just because a single woman uses BC does not even mean she is having sex and it certainly doesn't mean she has multiple partners. It is used for other medical reasons.
The defense of these kinds of remarks show ignorance, sexism and willing to stoop to the level of liberals. Conservatives better get off their self righteous high horse if they want to win in November.
Bob S| 3.6.12 @ 2:07PM
You still don't get it, wodiej.
It's not about free speech. Rather it's about the free exercise of one's (religious) conscience.
Yes, Frush Rumbaugh said some coarse and nasty things about Sarah P. - no wait, wrong boycott - but the real question remains: Just what exactly do you call someone who is brazen enough to go on national tv and essentially ask the govt. to force others, who refuse for conscience sake, to foot the bill for her recreational sex?
Let me tell you. A libertine and a whore for more big govt. power and tyranny.
Not only that, her pimp called her up after the hearing and along with congratulations, commiserated with her that she had to endure such vile and abusive language from those who vehemently disagreed with her naked appeal to Leviathan to crush all those who disagreed with her, whatever their vocabulary.
Yes, there are medical conditions that are treated with "contraceptives", but that's not what we are talking about and everybody knows it. Neither is that why Big Brother put out the HSS mandate.
