You Can Get Obamacare ‘For What It Costs To Pay Your Cell Phone Bill’
by

I just saw President Obama’s conversation with comedian Zach Galifianakis on his show “Between Two Ferns” at FunnyorDie.com. It was mildly amusing. More reporters should take Galifianakis’ approach to questioning Obama, while Obama once again proved he can read a script.

After trading insults, Obama plugged Obamacare in an effort to get to their target of 7 million sign ups by the March 31st deadline. Frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama delays the deadline. He’s delayed everything else where it concerns Obamacare.

Obama told Galifianakis, “The truth is they can get coverage all for what it costs to pay your cell phone bill.”

The problem is that while the average monthly cell phone bill in this country is $73 (according to J.D. Power), the average monthly Obamacare premium is (as of last month) $274 per individual plan. This is according to the National Health Insurance Price Index established eHealth, Inc.

Now this isn’t the first time Obama has made the cell phone claim. He first did so last August the same day he said the Martin Luther King, Jr. would have liked Obamacare.

I think it is fair to say we get more bang for our buck for the $73 a month we spend on our cellphone than for the $274 spent a month on Obamacare.

Unfortunately, the last laugh will be on the young people who sign up or try to sign up for Obamacare after viewing the Obama-Galifianakis interview.
