Courtesy of the Emerald Coast Honor Flight Network, WWII veterans from Pensacola, Florida, were given the opportunity to visit DC’s newest memorial — World War II. The group of 103 men and women were escorted by an all-volunteer staff. In addition, U.S. Representative and Chairman of the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, Jeff Miller, was also onboard the Pensacola flight and spent the day with the group. To date, the Honor Flight Network has transported over 22,000 veterans from around the country to visit the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.
