Will Romney Win NH By Double Digits?
by

Last week, I argued that if Mitt Romney won New Hampshire by less than 10% he would be in deep trouble in South Carolina.

Although Romney has prevailed in the Granite State, with 19% of the precincts reporting, Romney has a 10 point lead over Ron Paul (35% to 25%). Keep in mind that Romney had a 23 point lead over Paul a week ago.

Romney might think now is the time to be fitted for a crown but he hasn’t earned his robes yet.

UPDATE: With 89% of the ballots counted, Romney’s lead over Paul has grown to 16 points earning nearly 40% of the vote. His win is far more convincing. But South Carolina isn’t a fait accompli.
