I was talking to Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), chairman of the conservative Republican Study Committee, this morning for a magazine story and he described Harry Reid’s comments blaming the Tea Party for the budget stalemate as “laughable.” “The only budget that was put together last year was the RSC budget,” Jordan told me. “We got to balance in ten years.”
It’s worth noting that Reid’s Democratic majority failed to pass a budget last year and has so far been unable to pass a continuing resolution funding the government more than a few weeks this year.
