Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s Freedom First PAC has announced its fundraising results: nearly $1.9 million in the first six months, $566,000 in the first three months of 2010. The money will go to help Republican candidates in elections this fall. Pawlenty is working to raise his national profile in anticipation of a 2012 presidential bid. According to a press statement, his PAC entered April with over $911,000 in cash on hand.
“We’re very pleased with another strong quarter for the PAC,” Phil Musser, senior advisor for the Freedom First PAC, said in the statement. “Between his work for the RGA, the PAC, and the many events for state parties, Tim Pawlenty is moving the needle in terms of helping Republicans prepare to win this fall.”
