The Earth Didn’t Move For Me Last Night
by

No, I am not referring to Obama’s performance in last night’s debate. But I am referring to the earthquake which occurred last night in New England and upstate New York which hit 4.0 on the Richter Scale. The epicenter was about 20 miles west of Portland, Maine.

I was on my way to the pool when it happened. But I didn’t feel a thing. However, about a dozen or so people came out of their houses. A couple people thought it was a big truck but then people started saying, “I think that was an earthquake.”

It isn’t the first time I haven’t noticed an earthquake. The folks at TAS HQ will remember the earthquake of August 2011 which rattled in Virginia hitting 5.9 on the Richter scale. The earthquake was felt here in Boston and as far north as Ottawa. But again I didn’t feel a thing while near the Boston Common.

Now perhaps I didn’t feel anything because I was outside on both occasions. I suspect if I was indoors I would have felt something. Well, things do come in threes.
