Romney Edges Paul in Maine
by

Mitt Romney has narrowly prevailed in the week long Maine Republican Caucuses. With 95% of the ballots counted, Romney won 39% of the vote just edging out Ron Paul who garnered 36% of the vote.

Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich, both of whom made little effort in the Pine Tree state, finished third and fourth with 18% and 6%, respectively.

It was a good day for Romney who earlier in the day also won the CPAC Straw Poll. Still, I’m sure Romney’s people are concerned that he didn’t win a New England state by a more convincing margin.
