Home » Hot off the Press » Netanyahu to Abbas: Accept Israel as a Jewish State
I second Jim Antle’s sentiments on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address before a joint session of Congress.
I watched nearly the entire speech and was simply spellbound by Netanyahu’s eloquence and humanity.
But my favorite part of his remarks was his challenge to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. Netanyahu said, “I stood before my people and I said, ‘I will accept a Palestinian state.’ It’s time for President Abbas to stand before his people and say, ‘I will accept a Jewish state.'”
The ball is now in Mr. Abbas’ court.
