In my hometown, the voting has been moved from the high school field house — where it has taken place my whole life — to a smaller room off to the side. Now, there may well be a logical explanation for this. But it is hard not to wonder whether this was intended to create longer lines, which might not be convenient for voters who have to go to work. This is in Scott Brown’s state senate district and is somewhere he can be expected to do well today.
UPDATE: A commenter below says it is because of basketball games taking place in the field house later and reports no problems or wait in his own voting experience.
UPDATE II: I can confirm there was a basketball game in the field house at 3:30. Why it wasn’t moved was beyond me, but it wasn’t difficult to vote.
