MA Rep. Lynch: Dems May Lose Senate Over Obamacare
by

During an interview with the Boston Herald, Massachusetts Democratic Congressman Stephen Lynch predicted Obamacare would cost Democrats seats in the House and that Democrats might lose control of the Senate.

Lynch, who represents a congressional district that covers South Boston, was the only member of the Massachusetts delegation in the House to vote against Obamacare four years ago. This vote against Obamacare went a long way in costing him a chance at the Democratic Party’s nomination after John Kerry vacated the Senate. Lynch was bested in the Democratic primary by Ed Markey.

Usually when Democratic politicians speak out against Obamacare it is because they are in vulnerable seats. Lynch will be re-elected this November come hell or high water so it won’t affect him much. But the writing is on the wall for Democrats and Lynch is among the few Democrats willing to read the wall.

Of course, none of this matters to President Obama. While there will be fewer Democrats on Capitol Hill after November, Obama isn’t going anywhere and can say Obamacare is working without consequence.
