Joe, Go Home

Glory and honor to the fallen in the Kabul bombing. Glory and honor to those Marines who defend the free world with courage and dedication, who fight our enemies, and resist, often despite the negligence of politicians. Love and prayers for them, their families and friends. God bless them. And all the contempt in the universe for their cowardly murderers.

For today, I had written another installment of “Summer Satire,” that saga of articles with which we are having so much fun. But I have decided to press pause on it today. I am all for taking refuge in humor, especially when everything goes wrong, but today I felt that I had to make an exception. There are a lot of people who don’t feel like laughing. And, above all, there is something I simply can’t put off saying: Joe must resign. He has the last chance in his life to do something truly patriotic for America: resign. He must accept his ineptitude and walk away. Being at the helm of the White House is not child’s play. And while terrorists are to blame for what happened, Joe must take responsibility for the most disastrous and dangerous war retreat ever to have been witnessed. Even Siri, with a virus and no battery, would have planned the Afghanistan withdrawal better than Joe Biden.

Almost everything has already been contemplated in Classical Greece. A fable by Aesop, the type of thing that even someone like Joe can understand, defines exactly what has happened:

An Eagle was soaring through the air when suddenly it heard the whizz of an Arrow, and felt itself wounded to death. Slowly it fluttered down to the earth, with its life-blood pouring out of it. Looking down upon the Arrow with which it had been pierced, it found that the shaft of the Arrow had been feathered with one of its own plumes. “Alas!” it cried, as it died, “We often give our enemies the means for our own destruction.”

You see, Joe. You’ve given them the information, the weapons, the training, and an exact calendar. You’ve given them the confidence, the reason, the initiative, and the keys. You have given them the ideological cover, that multiculturalist entelechy; you have given them more than obvious signs of your own deterioration and weakness; and you have given them the pleasure of ignoring every single one of the voices that warned you of the madness you were poised to commit. You have given everything to that bunch of psychopaths and now you cannot seriously be surprised that they are murdering your people with the same weapons you have given them. The Taliban terrorists are just as guilty of murder as the Islamic State terrorists: don’t forget that the former opened the cells of Bagram and other prisons so that the latter could commit the attacks.

And there’s something even more important: they don’t respect you. They don’t fear you. Most of the things that are happening would never have happened with Donald Trump, because the Taliban knew that if they were to go back on even the smallest detail of the contract, they would bear witness to the full might of the huge American military coming down on their black turbans. Let us not forget that there was a time when, for 12 dead Marines, the United States would leave entire cities reduced to rubble. This is not an exaltation of war, just a history lesson. Your promise of revenge has the jihadists in such hysterics that the only real threat to their lives is that they might choke and suffocate.

I read in the left-wing press that it is unacceptable for us to criticize Biden while the military is still risking its life in Afghanistan. Very well. It’s a charming thought, maybe I’ll have it tattooed on the sole of my foot next summer. But I just have one question, guys: after how many unnecessary deaths is it acceptable to ask an inept person to relinquish the controls of a vehicle he is incapable of controlling?

Go home, Joe. You’re more useless than tits on a boar hog.
