Yesterday, I wondered aloud if several MLB players were boycotting the 2011 All-Star Game as a protest to the Arizona immigration law.
I was particularly rough with Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino.
As it turns out, (as several readers have pointed out) he was placed on the 15-day disabled list for a thumb injury. Not only that but he will be in Phoenix to attend the game.
This means I gave Victorino a thumb to the eye. There’s no excuse for such sloppiness on my part. The ball went between my legs. I flat out screwed up. My fault. My bad. I thus apologize to Victorino without reservation.
