The Suppression of the ‘Lab Leak Theory’ Has Collapsed
by

The collapse of the dam built around the suppression of the “lab leak theory” marks a good time to consider a wider subject: that of the elite snickering and dismissals of “conspiracy theories” — otherwise known as alternative narratives of current and past events to those crafted by our ruling class.

Some stories are true and some are not. This is certainly the case with respect to the “conspiracy theorists” — people like Alex Jones who’ve been vilified for what’s termed irresponsible journalism. The shocking $965 million jury award reached in the lawsuit filed against Jones by the families of children slain in the Newtown, Connecticut, school shooting may have been excessive, but Jones’ reporting of the massacre as a “false flag” was hardly a proud moment for the American press.

On the other hand, 20 years ago Alex Jones was warning that our growing trade relationship with China would result in Chinese influence making our society more like theirs rather than the desired reverse result.

Whether it all balances out or not is perhaps a matter of taste. And nobody says you have to get your news from Alex Jones.

But nobody ought to insist you get your news from those “respectable” outlets who screech nonstop about “disinformation” and “conspiracy theories” in the alternative media, either. And with the collapse of resistance this week to what’s been the obvious truth from the beginning, namely that the COVID-19 Wuhan virus originated from a leak, whether intentional or accidental, at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in central China, it’s time we put a stop to these people branding anybody else a kook or a liar.

The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, and the other “respectable” news organizations wagging their fingers and clucking about lies and inaccuracies among independent and conservative media sources officially have no credibility to make such a case. Not after three years of denying what was so obviously true about the virus.

Let’s not forget that at the very beginning of the COVID pandemic, Donald Trump told the truth about the virus’ origin. Trump, after all, had access to the intelligence and knew what time it was…

Trump was treated as a conspiracy theorist for definitively stating the obvious — that the virus came from that lab.

And of course, something else is obvious, which is that our corrupt public health establishment was at least partly responsible for creating the Frankenstein virus through gain-of-function research grants laundered from Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases institute through something called the EcoHealth Alliance — despite such research being banned at the time by Congress.

If there’s a fault to be ascribed to Trump, it’s that he didn’t crawl all the way through the rabbit hole and fire Fauci and the rest of that cabal of Deep State crooks. By then, he should have known just how awful the rot truly was. (READ MORE: Birx’s Book Damages Trump and Disqualifies Pence)

On the other hand, there is so much rot in our government and media that it might be easier to ascertain what should be kept and what should be eliminated.

Fauci even today refuses to acknowledge the obvious origin of the virus:

A defiant Dr. Anthony Fauci pooh-poohed the US Energy Department’s conclusion that COVID-19 likely leaked from a Chinese lab – urging people to keep “an open mind” and saying “we may never know” the origin of the disease.

Fauci, 82, the former White House chief medical adviser, noted that intelligence agencies aren’t aligned on the lab leak theory and have not arrived at a definitive answer to what caused the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We must all keep an open mind to all possibilities” about the origins of the coronavirus, Fauci told The Boston Globe on Monday, adding, “we may never know” the source of the outbreak.

The retired director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases continued: “I don’t see any data for a lab leak. That doesn’t mean it couldn’t have happened.”

Right, because if you admit it’s a leak from the Wuhan lab, then it’s legitimate to trace that lab’s activities and who funded it.

We’ve had some self-serving liars working in American government over the 250 years we’ve been a country. It’s hard to find one quite as brazen and unethical as this man.

And yet even today the Biden administration, through its spokeslesbian Queen Karine Jean-Pierre, treats Fauci as some sort of Saint of Science:

Note Queen Karine’s refusal to admit there’s a “consensus” on the lab leak theory. Who should represent the “consensus” is a question — most of the American people, the people not invested in preventing such a “consensus,” have long recognized this fact.

But what’s the value of consensus, anyway? Does a consensus prevent the legitimacy of “conspiracy theories?”

If so, then perhaps the Washington Post and New York Times can tell us about Hunter Biden’s laptop and how the material therein was “Russian disinformation.” Or we can revisit the Trump–Russia hoax those outlets flogged for more than two years.

Who are the consensus-makers and who are the “conspiracy theorists,” after all?

And why, if we’re going to insist that corporate “mainstream” media outlets have credibility, does Joy Reid still have a job at MSNBC?

The collapse, among seemingly everyone but Queen Karine and Dr. Fauci, of the resistance to the Wuhan lab leak as the origin of the COVID pandemic should signal a new Great Reset — this one in media.

Because it’s clear that the elite opinionmakers and storytellers, the ones who told us we were losing in Vietnam after the Tet Offensive, the ones who promised nothing but good times for embedding our supply chain in communist China, the ones who insisted Barack Obama was a racial-healing centrist despite nearly exclusive associations with the worst anti-American haters around, the ones who told us the Russians rigged the 2016 election, the Bidens were honest, and Hillary’s emails were not a scandal, the ones who attribute earthquakes to climate change, the ones who insist women have penises and men can menstruate and get pregnant, can’t and shouldn’t be trusted.

They don’t have credibility. What they have is power. And that doesn’t just make them liars, it makes them dangerous as hell.

As reported elsewhere here at The American Spectator, the Biden State Department is using foreign cutout organizations to demonetize and deplatform independent media outlets like this one. Because here we peddle “disinformation.” (READ MORE: Biden Targets The American Spectator in Conservative Blacklisting)

Any time you hear that word, or “conspiracy theory,” just laugh — because five will get you 10 that the person using it is not a truth-seeker but a bad-faith, malicious control freak.

And we are long overdue for a reckoning given the damage they’ve done.
