Potential FBI Indictment Hobbles Clinton Campaign
by

Over the past few weeks, Hillary Clinton has achieved what many thought impossible: She’s made Donald Trump’s October implosion seem like a thing of the distant past.

Bret Baier of Fox News reported yesterday that a year-long federal investigation of Clinton Foundation pay-to-play corruption is “very likely” to yield an indictment, according to two FBI sources.

Trapped between the twin battering rams of WikiLeaks and the FBI, Clinton’s corrupt campaign is in a full death spiral.

Less than three weeks ago, Clinton held a seven-point lead in national polls and appeared ready to coast to victory in November. This week, that lead is down to three points, and shrinking.

Yesterday’s revelations will only increase Trump’s momentum. Every revelation from the sources is damning, including that Clinton’s private email server was breached by “at least five foreign intelligence hackers.”

At this point, the only hope for the Clinton campaign is to deny everything and keep attacking Trump in the hope that they can stem the bleeding long enough for early and low-information voters to carry them to victory.

Even if she outlasts Trump, however, Hillary may not be out of the woods. Some House Republicans, like Michael McCaul of Texas and Jim Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin, have already floated the idea of kicking off a Clinton presidency with a push for impeachment. This would likely only be possible, of course, if Republicans maintain control of both houses of Congress.

Five days from the election, all we can do is hold our breath and wait.
