Judge Robert Bork will be among the conservatives discussing Elena Kagan’s Supreme Court nomination during a Wednesday invitation-only press briefing hosted by Americans United for Life.
Bork will be joined by University of Notre Dame law professor Gerard Bradley and AUL’s top legal expert, William Saunders, in the Tuesday morning conference call, AUL president Charmaine Yoest announced today.
Author of the New York Times bestsellers Slouching Toward Gomorrah and The Tempting of America, Bork became a hero to conservatives after his 1987 Supreme Court nomination by President Ronald Reagan was blocked by Senate Democrats.
AUL has been a leading critic of the Supreme Court nomination of Kagan. The former Harvard Law dean and Clinton administration aide currently serves solicitor general in the Obama administration. She is the subject of AUL’s “Kagan Files.”
