Energy Secretary Steven Chu — recently famous for telling Congress that his department is not interested in helping lower gasoline prices — said he would give himself a grade of A-minus for the past year. A year in which, like all years at Energy, Chu’s department has not caused a single kilowatt hour of power or a gallon of combustible fuel to be produced. Grade inflation is real and it’s everywhere.
