Usually these sort of political investigations take weeks to get started, but when you’re dealing with the Holy Cathedral of Feminism’s ability to perform it’s most important sacrament, I suppose the wheels of justice turn more swiftly.
The Department of Justice, which has said nothing about looking into whether Planned Parenthood is engaging in what appears to be an illicit trade in baby parts – let’s face it, if they were really just asking for “reimbursements,” they wouldn’t be haggling over the amounts – they announced this morning that they’re going to be investigating the Center for Medical Progress, the organization that taped Planned Parenthood senior executives chatting about “less crunchy” alternatives to crushing aborted fetuses wholesale, while sipping on a nice Chianti and listening to the Glenn Miller Orchestra.
JUSTICE TO PROBE CENTER FOR MEDICAL PROGRESS – While congressional committees investigate Planned Parenthood’s practices, the Justice Department agreed to look into whether the group that released the sting videos obtained the footage legally. In response to a request by House Democrats, Attorney General Loretta Lynch saidWednesday afternoon that Justice would “review all of the information and determine what the appropriate steps moving forward would be.” Planned Parenthood has staunchly defended its practices and claims that the Center for Medical Progress illegally obtained its footage, then excessively edited it to misrepresent what the organization does.
– Center Executive Director David Daleiden isn’t phased. ‘They will attack me and my organization all day long, but that does not change the facts about what our investigation has uncovered and what the American people now know – that Planned Parenthood is engaged in an enterprise-wide operation that traffics and sells baby body parts,’ he said in a statement.
This comes just days after my esteemed Congresswoman, Rep. Jan Schakowksy (D-Crazypants) called on the Justice Department to rectify this travesty of justice, exposing Planned Parenthood’s heirarchy as a pyramid of sociopathic ghouls.
The nice part is, all of the Democrats who sign on to this sort of investigation are quite openly supportive of whatever is contained in this and any future videos. CMP has said, quite clearly, that it has weeks worth of footage, and Planned Parenthood itself, which has struggled over it’s PR approach, released a statement over the weekend warning its supporters that much more could be coming, including video footage that might be “racially charged.” I suspect they’d only make that latter claim if the “racially charged” commentary makes them look bad, not their videographers. Obviously, it won’t hurt Jan – the woman is as impossible to beat as she is left of center – but there are other, riper targets less close to retirement.
Until then, I suppose CMP will just have to endure the Obama Administration’s routine response to anything that gets under their skin, including conservative 501(c)(4)s and middle American police department policies: an investigation that will yeild next to nothing, but not until everyone’s ultimately forgotten the DOJ was involved.
