The Left talks a lot about white supremacy and very little about a much more worrying and widespread supremacism, that of idiocy. It is a serious mental defect that can lead the president of the United States to say something like this: “the most lethal terrorist threat to the homeland today is from white supremacist terrorism.” To speak of mental defects and stupidity in Biden may seem redundant, but it’s entirely possible. Unfortunately, stupidity is not incompatible with anything at all; look at me, for instance.
But it just so happens that I can afford to be an idiot. After all, I am a columnist. Being an idiot makes things easier for critical readers. Years ago, the Spanish writer Francisco de Quevedo nailed it: “All those who seem stupid are stupid, and so are half of those who don’t seem so.” But the president of the United States cannot be a member of idiot supremacist groups. If you accept the office, you agree to curb your own stupidity. In other words, you can’t be in the White House and be a world-class fool, a complete nincompoop, a spherical idiot (an idiot, no matter from which angle you look at him), or an ignoramus on the shore (the sort that’s set on exporting idiocy overseas, to other continents).
Tuesday to Thursday were a 48 disastrous hours for Biden. It’s as if he set out to look stupider and more of a fruitcake than he actually is (“I’m really gonna be in trouble“). I could admire his efforts and sportsmanship if it weren’t for the fact that he’s also competing with himself for first prize in negligence.
His entire speech at the Joint Session of Congress was nonsense, as well as an exercise in extreme leftist sectarianism, which is pretty much what he has let into his government.
But of all the rubbish uttered by Biden, that of white supremacist terrorism as a substitute for jihadist terrorism is not only the stupidest but also the most dangerous. It goes without saying that America is not safe from jihadist terrorism. Only an irresponsible idiot could make such a proclamation at this point. For decades, the jihad has based its success in the West on the odd government occasionally letting its guard down.
The only reason Islamism is weaker is because of Trump’s policy of zero tolerance for economic cessions to Islamic dictatorships that finance terrorists who later end up bombing in France, Spain, or the United States. The fact that he has massacred, in targeted attacks, the leaders of these groups on their own soil has also contributed to a certain peace. But it is enough to take a look at the publications of the Islamic State, Al-Qaeda, and others to understand that the danger for Americans is real. It is grossly reckless to make people believe that the jihadist nightmare is over. The real terrorists are just waiting for Biden to get distracted, putting the spotlight on the supposed white terrorists.
Biden would have you believe that there is such a thing as white terrorism. A similar folly was already tried by the Left in Europe, when they started talking about “sexist terrorism” to label a troglodyte idiot who beats his wife. It all starts from a big lie accepted by almost all European politicians: that a wife-beater who beats his wife does so because he is a member of a terrorist organization that hates women. The abuser is a human being, but there is no terrorist motivation whatsoever in his actions.
The same goes for the alleged terrorism of alleged white supremacism. Democrats never address the root of the problems; they float on sloganeering, which might be why they are more comfortable renaming things: from “climate change” to “white terrorism.” But the truth is that terrorism is a very serious matter. I write this from Spain, where for years we lived in fear because of the cowardly rats of the terrorist group ETA, a group that the same press that now speaks of “supremacist terrorism” just a few years ago curiously stopped calling “terrorists,” as if they had never blown up dozens of children in shopping malls, parks, and homes.
Jihadist terrorism is alive, and its all-out war against the free world is ongoing. Biden’s stupid blather will only encourage it. Instead of white supremacist terrorism, we should be concerned about the idiot supremacists running the country. I don’t know if Biden has also been informed of this by the Secret Service.
