I think both Ross and Matt are spot on in their assessment of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s efforts to make amends for the actions of his former deputy chief of staff as well as his former campaign manager against the people of Fort Lee.
Governor Christie acted as an adult. Christie made no excuses and accepted responsibility for those who work at his behest. He also personally apologized to the Mayor of Fort Lee. But there’s one more thing Christie ought to do. A 91-year old woman died of cardiac arrest because EMS could not reach her due to traffic delays on Fort Lee Road. Christie should reach out to this woman’s family and offer them recompense. It would go a long way in putting this sad spectacle to an end.
