Breaking news: the President “shoved” his way past a Prime Minister. Breaking news: the President will have three scoops of ice cream this weekend. Breaking news: we have breaking news. Breaking news: another official, who knows an official, who, at one time, slept in a hotel room, next to an official, has actually taken a leak. Breaking news: “you are broken.”
Last weekend, it was James Comey’s father and friends, shockingly, defending their friend and loved one. The breaking news rounds this weekend: I hear CNN has an exclusive with his poodle. Wait, MSNBC has a breaking story: James Comey doesn’t have a poodle. He has a Yorkie, and the Yorkie will be on Rachel’s show, and her own show only, reading his FBI diaries.
Do your flyers for pundits simply say: hate Trump, have a degree of some sort, we have room for you in the three o’clock hour? Just curious how low MSNBC, CNN, the Washington Post and New York Times will go to discredit the President, and, by proxy, the people who voted for him. We know national security won’t stop them. We know loss of intelligence sharing won’t stop them. What is your media bottom, and how low will you dig?
What doesn’t get on the news, other than the President’s achievements, investigations of Islamic terror, and pretty much anything else that was important pre-Trump? God, I miss the days when the climate was important, and something or another was bad for our health. Maybe, one day, that’s how this period of “journalism” will be referred to as PT. We will tell our children how a media and a party colluded to destroy a presidency and half of its population.
This isn’t too far off into the future, and I haven’t been binging on old Twilight Zone episodes. We are this close to having one “news” organization and one “news” channel. Can you truly discern the difference between any of these “news” organizations? They are scared of Russia. Here is the scoop: you are becoming Russia. When there is no source that is credible, and leakers are the radical left’s political bombers, and when you allow everything on the air, you are no longer the news; you have simply become air.
So, be ready for that breaking news, this weekend. I’m sure it will be a doozy, whether it’s “the President’s tie was too long” and it intimidated Angela Merkel, or that sources are reporting that the French prime minister has ligament damage in his hand, from the shake felt ’round the media. Enough with the “breaking” news stories, unless you have finally proven Don Lemon is actually related to a lemon. Breaking it’s not, broken it is.
