Brad Ellsworth’s Poll Numbers Could Use Some Health Care
by

In a Rasmussen poll taken before Rep. Brad Ellsworth (D-IN) voted for the health care bill — a decision he announced even before Bart Stupak got his executive order figleaf on abortion funding — he trails the leading Republican candidates.

Former Rep. John Hostettler clobbers Ellsworth 50 percent to 32 percent. Former Sen. Dan Coats similarly trounces him 49 percent to 34 percent. And state Sen. Marlin Stutzman leads Ellsworth 41 percent to 34 percent. According to this survey, Indiana voters oppose the health care plan by a 63 percent to 35 percent margin. Only 21 percent are strongly in favor, while 54 percent strongly oppose it.
