HuffPo: Sean Hannity Who?
by

You just have to love the way liberal media bias works.

Take the latest round of television ratings.

The Huffington Post today headlines a breathless story this way:

MSNBC Lands In Fourth Place In May; Maddow Hits Ratings Lows

OK. Interesting. So what’s the scoop?

Well, HuffPo goes on about Ms. Maddow’s struggle. It goes on about CNN. It goes on about Headline News. It mentions Chris Matthews, Al Sharpton, Martin Bashir, and Chris Hayes. It pictures Lawrence O’Donnell. And it mentions Piers Morgan.

But there’s something curious missing. Look at this sentence:

MSNBC’s prime time numbers were down across the board. Rachel Maddow delivered what the Hollywood Reporter said were her lowest total viewing figures in her show’s history, and she even fell behind timeslot rival Piers Morgan—a very rare victory for the CNN host.

So if Rachel Maddow “even fell behind timeslot rival Piers Morgan”…then that means….Piers Morgan is number one?

Um. No.

Completely missing is who is actually in first place, and the story with him.

That curiously missing “him” is, of course, Sean Hannity. Whose ratings have soared by 18%.

Which is to say there’s no way HuffPo wants to acknowledge that liberals Maddow and Morgan are losing to…Hannity. So just treat him like the denizens of Harry Potter’s world dealt with He Who Must Not Be Named.

It is hilarious in its own way. But it’s also a serious reminder of the real struggle: the liberal media’s ironclad unwillingness to simply report the news, the basic facts.

Did I mention Fox was still number one?

HuffPo didn’t get around to that either.

Shocker.
