President Trump’s Amazing Asian Trip

When President Trump made his first overseas trip in May, I wondered how he would top it. After all, he started in Saudi Arabia — home of Mecca — made the first direct flight ever from Riyadh to Israel, and then went to the Vatican, attended a NATO meeting, and finally finished with a G8 […]

Will Hillary Clinton Attend the White House Correspondents Dinner? She should.

Of course, I believe the rumor that Hillary Clinton will attend the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. She should. She is their president. The national news media had never before gone all-in on a presidential candidate like her, not even Barack Obama. The press by and large overlooked her congenital lying, her ineptitude as secretary of […]

Trump Is O.K. Crackerby

After President Trump’s first two weeks behind the Resolute desk, Washington is “panting,” to use the verb selected by Carol Lee and Peter Nicholas of the Wall Street Journal. President Trump wants to be the tornado that hit and flattened Washington. From captain of his class in military school, to billionaire playboy, to television star, […]

How the Media Can Get Its Groove Back

The election of Donald Trump is a blessing to the media, an industry wracked by customer doubt and dropping revenues. A Gallup poll last September showed only 14% of Americans have “a great deal” of trust the news media “to report the news fully, accurately and fairly.” Add the 18% who have “a fair amount” […]

President Trump Made JFK and Reagan Stand Up and Cheer

President Trump’s magnificent inauguration speech should stand the test of time, as will his presidency. Short, sweet, and to the point, President Trump made it about the people who elected him — as well as the people who did not. Standing on the steps of the Capitol, he spoke to the rafters. And when you […]

Everybody in the Media Was Wrong, No One Gets Fired

Larry Sabato is a fixture on Fox News as a predictor of elections. A University of Virginia professor, Sabato invariably is wrong. He missed Trump’s nomination, and he missed Trump’s election. The day after the election, he went on Fox News, admitted the obvious, and apologized for being wrong. Big deal. He is still on […]

Crow Servings for Chuck Todd and Friends

Over the last year, the nation’s political intelligentsia has evolved from dismissing Donald Trump as a joke to panicking about fascism should the public elect him president. The failure to grasp what unfolded before them, and their inability even now to learn from that experience is an eye-opening experience. Mind you, these are the people […]

I Sent Huffington Post to Its Safe Place

Our writer receives a dressing down for daring to support and endorse Donald Trump. Melissa Clouthier, managing editor of The American Spectator, asked me earlier this month to author, “The Thinking Man’s Guide to Donald Trump: Why Donald Trump Should Be President.” My only question was how long. She said 750 to 1,000. She liked […]

The Thinking Man’s Guide to Donald Trump

Why Donald Trump should be President. If a year ago someone told me I would be an advocate of Donald Trump, I would have laughed, because everyone knew he was a joke with a toupee. But on August 27, 2015, at a rally in Greenville, South Carolina, when Mary Margaret Bannister pulled his hair, we […]
