Lindsey Graham Drops Out of 2016 Presidential Race
by

Lindsey Graham has dropped out of the 2016 GOP presidential race. He announced this during an interview on CNN this morning.

Despite some good debate performances those performances were all on the undercard debates. Graham could never break through the 1% ceiling and his candidacy never went anywhere. He became something of a punchline when Donald Trump revealed his cell phone number. At least Graham saw the humor in it (as demonstrated by the video above).

Of course, Graham has never been a favorite of conservatives. Our old friend Quin Hillyer called him the “Worst Republican Senator” back in 2008.

Nevertheless, Graham’s knowledge of the military and military justice in particular would make him an ideal Secretary of Defense in a Republican administration provided a Republican President is open to that possibility.

The question now is how long will it be before George Pataki, Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee follow suit. Or will they hold out with the hope of being invited on the main debate stage? And has anybody seen Jim Gilmore?
