I Will Be Live Tweeting The CNN GOP Main Debate, But Not The Undercard Debate
by

As I have done with most of the debates, I will be live tweeting tonight’s GOP Main Debate at #GOPDebate on Twitter. My Twitter handle is @aargold24.

However, I have decided not to live tweet the GOP Undercard Debate.

Unlike last month’s debate in Iowa, there was a reason to watch the GOP Undercard Debate. Both Chris Christie and Mike Huckabee had been demoted from the main stage and there was a question as to how they would respond. As such, I would have watched tonight’s undercard debate had Rand Paul been demoted, but he remains on the main stage tonight by the enamel of his teeth. This, of course, could change.

Unless Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, Lindsey Graham and George Pataki come out on stage dressed up as a barbershop quartet and begin singing (with Huckabee on bass) there is absolutely no reason to watch tonight’s debate. While Christie stepped up his game in last month’s undercard debate, Huckabee did not and he is now relegated to debating three guys who have been on the undercard since August.

So I will be saving my energy for the main debate which begins on CNN at 8 p.m. EST. Following the debate, I will write up my usual post-mortem.
