Game show host and singer Jim Perry passed away on Friday after a long battle with cancer. He was 82.
Perry was well known to both American and Canadian audiences. In this country, he was best known as the host of the NBC game shows Card Sharks and later $ale of the Century during the late 1970’s and throughout the 1980’s. In Canada, he was the host of the long running game show Definition and, for a quarter century, hosted the Miss Canada pageant. Prior to Perry hosting the pageant, it was hosted by the late Peter Jennings.
