Would Rolling Stone Put George Zimmerman On Its Cover?
by

So Dzhokar Tsarnaev has been put on the cover of Rolling Stone. I wonder if someone will buy five copies for his mother.

As Delphine Rodrik of The New Republic points out Tsarnaev isn’t the first notorious person to be placed on the cover of a national magazine (i.e. Hitler, Stalin, Osama bin Laden, etc.)

But I wonder if Rolling Stone would ever put George Zimmerman on its cover. I seriously doubt it, but if they did they sure as hell wouldn’t make him look like Jim Morrison. If Zimmerman made the cover of Rolling Stone, he would be made to look as sinister as possible.

Forty years ago, Dr. Hook sang, “We got a lot of little teenage blue eyed groupies/Who do anything we say.” Sadly, Tsarnaev can say the same and this cover will only reinforce their behavior.  It’s what happens when you turn a terrorist into a teen idol.
