Do Americans Need 12 More Years of Low Wages?

One thing that Jordan fails to attend to in his otherwise informative blog post about the CBO report analyzing the so-called “Gang of Eight” immigration bill is what a dozen years of lower average wages would mean for Americans, especially working-class Americans. It’s damn difficult to find any work these days, much less work that pays well. And I for one fail to see why we should throw American citizens under the bus in order to accommodate millions of people who, whatever else might be said of them, have broken the laws of this country by entering it illegally. So I repeat the question in the headline: do Americans need 12 more years of declining wages?
