As soon as I leave the Boston area, all hell breaks loose. Harvard professor and leading African-American scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. was arrested for disorderly conduct outside his home by police officers responding to reports of a break-in in progress. Gates, who was apparently having problems with the lock on his front door, charges the Cambridge police with racially profiling him.
