Colorado Democrats have handed caucus wins to controversial Senate candidate Andrew Romanoff. Romanoff was pushed by Colorado liberals over incumbent Democratic Senator Michael Bennet.
Romanoff, along with Pennsylvania Congressman Joe Sestak, is at the center of the Jobsgate scandal, the Obama White House back-room dealings to trade jobs for political favors. Sestak’ s opponent, Senator Arlen Specter, has raised the issue of a “misprision of a felony” with Sestak. This would apply to Romanoff (and any Obama White House staff aware of the illegal offers) if, as press reports have indicated, Romanoff received a job-for-a favor offer and did not report this to federal authorities.
In a reflection of the national pattern that is spelling disaster for mainstream media, (or “lamestream media” as Bernard Goldberg calls it) serious coverage in Colorado is to be found on the show of talk radio star Peter Boyles. Notably, Politico.com’s story, reported by David Catanese, never even mentioned the subject in its ” news” report. The old media mentality gasps on.
It did cite a Romanoff gloat that his victory was a “shockwave.” A real “shockwave” would be the mainstream media doing its job.
Meanwhile, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, who has declined five times to answer questions on this, was not asked about Jobsgate today.
The story continues.
