The Rise of the New Patriarchy and Title IX
by

A teen boy runs, and wins, against teen girls in a high school level competition. The winning part is not surprising. Men have some biological reasons for being physically superior to women. Testosterone increases their muscle mass, lung capacity, and upper body strength. Then there are all the subtle ways that make a boy/man faster and stronger: smaller Q-angles, denser bones, more efficient oxygenation.

Here is the practical effect of a boy participating in girls’ sports from the Alaska Dispatch News:

Wangyot posted the third-fastest time in the 200 preliminaries and the fifth-fastest time in the 100 preliminaries. The top eight runners advanced to Saturday’s finals.

Anchorage Christian senior Tanner Ealum is the defending champion in the 100 and 200, and she registered dominating preliminary times in both events. Ealum, who will run seven races in two days this weekend, said she wanted to wait until after her final event Saturday before commenting on the participation of a transgender athlete.

Put this boy with other boys and he wouldn’t be competitive. He would lose — not just in state-level competitions, but in local meets. He’s slow for a boy. He runs with unfair physiological advantages against girls. The playing field is grossly unequal.

Seeing this phenomenon grow makes one wonder why have sex-specific sports designations. Title IX was created so that girls have an equal access to sports. That meant that funding opened up for women. With Title IX, women’s sports finally attracted better coaches and more financial support so the schools could develop the programs.

Title IX is specific about sex discrimination — not in how one identifies oneself, but in the genetic way a person is made. That is, sex is either male or female. A boy has XY chromosomes. A girl has XX chromosomes. Male and female. This has nothing to do with socialization and everything to do with biology. It is scientific and it’s factual. No matter the hormones, surgeries, or emotional state, a person’s sex is unchangeable.

So, let’s read a portion of Title IX [emphsasis added]:

Title IX prohibits recipients of Federal financial assistance from
discriminating on the basis of sex in educational programs or
activities. Specifically, the statute states that “[n]o person in the
United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from
participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to
discrimination under any education program or activity receiving
Federal financial assistance,” with specific exceptions for various
entities, programs, and activities. 20 U.S.C. 1681(a). This statute was
modeled after Title VI, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of
race, color, and national origin in all programs or activities that
receive Federal financial assistance. The goal of Title IX is to ensure
that Federal funds are not utilized for and do not support sex-based
discrimination, and that individuals have equal opportunities, without
regard to sex, to pursue, engage or participate in, and benefit from
academic, extracurricular, research, occupational training, employment,
or other educational programs or activities. For example (and without
limitation), subject to exceptions described in these Title IX
regulations, Title IX prohibits a recipient from discriminating on the
basis of sex in: student admissions, scholarship awards and tuition
assistance, recruitment of students and employees, the provision of
courses and other academic offerings, the provision of and
participation in athletics and extracurricular activities, and all
aspects of employment, including, but not limited to, selection,
hiring, compensation, benefits, job assignments and classification,
promotions, demotions, tenure, training, transfers, leave, layoffs, and
termination.

Title IX prohibits sex discrimination. Girls should have the same opportunities as boys. Boys should have the same opportunities as girls.

A boy with male sex DNA and biology has every opportunity to play sports right now. He may run with and against other boys. He may identify as girl socially but he is a biological boy.

It’s interesting that girls are not clamoring to compete against boys even if they identify as boys. Why not? Well, for one, it’s no fun losing. Losing is a certainty. The most accomplished female athlete will not beat the most accomplished male athlete in her field — except maybe in gymnastics. Swimming, running, baseball, golf, table tennis… name the sport. A girl will lose to a boy. An average boy will very likely beat an above average girl.

One can shake our fist at Darwin or God or both, but that’s biology. It is unscientific to claim that a boy competing against a girl is fair.

The politically correct, confusing nonsense will end up depriving girls of opportunities. They’ll lose to boys who compete as girls. Title IX was meant to correct sex discrimination. With the Obama administration and the feather-brained school administrators across the country, Title IX is going to cause sex discrimination because gender identity is being willfully confused with biological sex. Women and girls with female DNA and biology will be pushed out by biological boys.

It will lead to unscientific babble like this from Fallon Fox, the biological male Mixed Martial Arts fighter who is fighting and beating the fire out of women:

Let’s talk bone structure. Joe Rogan claims that the mechanics of my “male frame” gives me a huge advantage. Yet, to my knowledge he has not explained how this is supposed to work. I’d like a very detailed and medically verified explanation of this. I’d like to know how the “male frame” can produce the massive “punching power” he speaks of without male muscle mass behind it. Joe could say that my long hair, or anything else that he could make up gives me a huge advantage. But, him simply stating that as a thing that “just is” would not make it so. This all sounds to me like an extremely uneducated hunch. Just look at his track record on this subject.

Here’s just one source describing the differences, but there are many: Differences in pain perception, differences in brain function, differences in injury recovery, differences in fat metabolism, differences in metabolism generally, differences in cognition, differences in upper body strength, differences in hamstring strength

This list could go on and on. Sex differences are both subtle and profound and together, these differences give men a distinct advantage in most physical endeavors that involve speed, strength, and endurance.

Wishing these differences away doesn’t make it so. What these differences mean is that post-pubescent girls will be at a disadvantage. They’ll be slower, weaker, and tire more quickly than post-pubescent boys. This is not true of every girl, of course. There are extremes of physical differences and those genetic gifts tend to lead a girl (and also a boy) toward their respective area of strengths. What will happen, though, if this gifted girl must compete against an average boy who grows his hair long and views himself a girl?

The girl will no longer be elite. And, in fact, the boy is not elite, either. He is average for his sex and would be forgotten in athletic mediocrity. As a girl, though, he’ll excel. He’ll be given accolades — both for his social courage and his physical prowess.

It will be nonsense and girls will be back in the position they were in the 1960s when Title IX became necessary: competing behind boys who will receive the financial and opportunity resources while girls watch from the sidelines.
