Owen Strachan is Executive Director of the Council on Biblical Manhood & Womanhood and Assistant Professor of Christian Theology and Church History at Boyce College in Louisville, Kentucky. He also teaches at the graduate level for The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Strachan holds a PhD in Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, an MDiv in Biblical & Theological Studies from SBTS, and an AB in History from Bowdoin College. He has published six books and has written essays for publications like The Atlantic online, First Things online, and Christianity Today.
The author of six books, Strachan is a blogger at the Patheos Evangelical Portal, a Contributing Writer for The Gospel Coalition, and a Fellow at the Society for the Advancement of Ecclesial Theology. He trained for ministry at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, D. C and interned for the White House in the U. S. Department of State.
From Maine, Strachan is married to Bethany and is the father of two children. He is a member of Kenwood Baptist Church. When not traversing the pastoral streets of Louisville, he enjoys hip hop, basketball, and cultural criticism. He is writing a book on the “Risky Gospel” for Thomas Nelson (2013).
