MMF’S Angelo Carusone Responds
by

Over there at Media Matters — aka Media Matters Fascists, the anti-free speech bigots who, in typical fascist style, make it their mission to shut down speech they don’t like — MMF’s Angelo Carusone has come to my Twitter feed to respond. Respond, that is, to my column nearby in which I shine the light of free speech on MMF’s latest attempt to get Sean Hannity off the air.

Mr. Carusone is not happy. I am delighted he is not happy. I am even happier that he has put his fascist spirit out there in reprintable form. So in the spirit of free speech — for Sean Hannity and Angelo Carusone and every other American of whatever political stripe — here are Angelo’s tweets unedited by me.

Good idea. Make sure you stretch before you contort yourself rationalizing why you’ll intentionally continue lying.

So. There is the Man from MMF himself, verbatim.

Notice he is emphatic that the George Soros contribution was: “What are you talking about? One donation, one time. How does that have anything to do with now?”

Answer, Angelo? Your objections are a self-evident admission you are embarrassed at the Soros-one-time donation. So with all the Big Bucks you have to fund MMF today why not rid yourself of the Soros connection for good, give the money back — and be done with it?

Noted here? It is not a lie, Angelo, that you and MMF are trying to end Sean Hannity’s free speech. You have been playing this fascist game for years with others — Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly, etc, etc. If there is a conservative with an audience of any size your fascist instinct is not to debate honestly but to simply silence the opposition. Period. Threaten their sponsors and bully.

This is America, Angelo. Not Fascist Italy, Nazi Germany or Communist Russia.

I have no intention of calling for some regulatory God somewhere or some pooh-bah donor to shut you down or defund you.

I really do believe in free speech. And the dirty little secret here?

Your attempt to get Sean Hannity — now that the wider world is on to your game — is only going to help him. Just like it helped Rush Limbaugh before that.  And for that matter? You are helping President Trump.

For which I thank you.

God speed. Speak freely. Even when not a word of what you say is true.
